  1. I'm old enough now to where I can't let what a 20 year old (Whom I'll never probably meet) decides to do with his (ope, he/they/them) life effect mine too much. They've got to make a decision and live with it, and I've got to figure out how to help my 12 year old figure out his short game so he can make the junior high golf team. Let's get the ship righted with whoever is on the roster in September. I'll still bleed green either way and still have to explain to my wife why I yell at the TV on Fridays and Saturdays from October through March. (Cough....April @brianvf)
  2. I'm not a fan of this age group playing by the USA hockey rules on the icing while short handed and automatic offsides, but the kids are so skilled they've just adapted. *Maybe not on the PK, they still ice the puck.
  3. I thought his performance at the regional may cost him, especially his play at the end of the last game. He's got a great shot with Celebrini and Cutter both being candidates too.
  4. I'd recommend anyone in the FM area with time to kill stop and watch these kids play. The games are only going to get better as the knockout session starts on Friday. Pool play ends today with most of the final 8 spots already secured.
  5. Yep. Hale played with Zajic and kept up. He will play D1 somewhere. Hak's kid has a long way to go at this point.
  6. Having seen a number of pretty good players the past few days at Scheels Arena I'd have to say that Lukas Zajic from Shattuck St. Mary's has to be on a ton of radars. Effortless skater. Played on the same line today as TJ Hale from West Fargo. Others to note: A.J. Garcia, Victor Plante, Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll (Chicago Mission). Dain Gordon (Bishop Kearney, but is from Denver), Luke Carrithers (Sioux Falls Power, Maple Grove kid). Cooper Soller (Shattuck). Most of these kids were at the evaluation camp, but getting to see them live is just a treat. I'm just taken back by the skill and creativity. *Carrithers not in Fargo this week but saw the Power in West Fargo a few weeks back.
  7. Tell me we didn't get him with the zero gravity beds!!!!!!! Or the hot tubs? Steamer?
  8. Phone didn't ring....sigh....
  9. Boy Omaha and Duluth have lost their share of kids, and it's early April. Ciskie sat down with Sandy in Duluth and talked the portal in an article he published.
  10. Ohhh okay, my bad. Talked a bit to their mom. Nice lady. Talented sons.
  11. I'm talking a third who is an 08 who plays for Chicago Mission.
  12. I'm working some 15U games for USA hockey at Scheels Arena. There is another Plante brother...... Had no clue.....
  13. I'm okay with: 1. Denver 2. It's all the same really...Michigan isn't beating B.C. They just aren't. Whether BC or BU....don't care.
  14. Basse to St. Lawrence.
  15. I want to point out that this was my pick a week ago. However, as I've stated like a broken record, I'm like death from Family Guy in the @jimdahl bracket challenge. I'm sorry Minnesota. You aren't winning a championship on my watch.....probably just fold the program.
  16. Michigan to St. Paul. Is Hunwick available for them against BC? They are gonna need a similar goaltending performance.
  17. I haven't heard either way. Just going on the assumption that he signs somewhere.
  18. 100% Still gotta have a #2 that isn't Kaleb Johnson and has some experience with what the team could be next season. Sigh....portal goalie.
  19. Sigh....Rand....love the guy.
  20. Minot State? Lake Region? Williston?
  21. Pohlkamp is gonna have some money thrown at him if he goes to the portal. As a WJC d man and a kid who logged a ton of minutes for the Beavers. I like Serratore. I hope the kid stays where he's at.
  22. 2-0. Joe Ryan with a good performance on the hill. Bullpen was good too. Ober tomorrow.
  23. It's really just crazy how it works. I used to pick with my heart taking UND most years, but I was the reason we'd lose. Now the only chance that Duluth or Minnesota has if they are both in. And honestly Duluth is more likely to get the kiss of death.
  24. In the end the Matrix stayed on course. I'm the death blow to any team's chance at a national championship. Thankfully Duluth and Minnesota both weren't in.
