So lets look at who was here and who wasn't between this season and last season.
Gone from 2023:
~Solano....not a big deal
~Joey Gallo....anybody miss him striking out?
~Michael Taylor.....covered for Buxton.....meh.....
~Polanco....hit .250....I missed the guy, but wasn't great in Seattle.
~Nick Gordon.....utility guy....hurt.
~Kyle Garlick....okay....
~Pagan.....good riddance.
~Keuchel......some spot starts.....throws 88 mph....
~Sonny Gray.....This is the one that makes you upset because he wasn't replaced.
~Tyler Mahle.....hurt all year......Spencer Steer would've been good.
~Jordan Luplow.....Forgot he was there.....
~Jorge Lopez.....fell off the face of the earth.....
~Kenta Maeda.....relegated to the bullpen by the Tigers
Honestly, if the Twins brought Gray back nobody is talking about the payroll (would've been 20 million less if he takes the same deal with the Twins). A friend of mine works for the Twins and said that Sonny was so sick of Rocco's pitching philosophy that he wasn't signing again with the Twins. Any other names on the list above that would've helped this year? Rocco gets another year, the Pohlads make more false promises, 2025 could be an 85 plus loss season unless they add two starting pitchers.
