Ohh boy....time to find a place to play overseas. Obviously a lot of factors play into a guys decision to leave college early, hopefully it all works out for him in the end. I bet he regrets not leaving after his Sophomore season.

If Lennon gets fired I'd be all for bringing him back to Grand Forks. Whether he would or not....who knows.... Lennon was behind some pretty good defensive football teams, and I have the feeling that a coach like him could turn this thing around. Yeah, the Salukis have struggled under his guidance, but I think he could reinvent himself back at UND. That or Bubba.....I miss Bubba....

When you see his skate get stuck in the ice you just hope there wasn't any ligament damage. No reason to hustle back. March is a helluva lot more important than October.

Very well put. The one thing I will disagree with is the whole focus thing. If our defense wasn't focused the games prior to this after getting pounded week in and week out giving up 500 yards a contest then nothing will wake them up.

To me, how in the hell do you not realize that a different goaltender is in the net? I mean by garsh.....the kid had different pads, different helmet, different body type. I mean you're watching UND shoot on this guy for a game and a half.....Unless they are so far away, but they have monitors up there. Guess I was a goalie, so its something that I always notice.

I wouldn't mind a coach like Kelly from Notre Dame. The guy is up 34-3 and he's still flaming mad when his team takes a delay of game penalty. Not going to lie, I love it when he chews out some broken hearted college kid who just messed up.

Koberisnki is just not a good color guy. He knows the game, but he just doesn't do a great job of getting what he sees across the air waves. Someone made a great comment about it being like a high school game.....yes.....very true.

Saunders and Gothberg both looked like they'd been there before....minus Zane's assist on the third goal.

Funny our coaching staff didn't see it coming.....

Quick observations: ~Fluky goals. I thought the goalies looked pretty good. ~Rowney-Parks (hope he's not hurt too badly)-MacMillan looked pretty good. Rowney is a beast. ~Kristo the number one star....pretty easy to see. ~Lots of promise from the Freshman. I liked Drake on the top line. Looked like he belonged there.

I would say the head coach isn't exactly the happiest man in the building.

I think I knew this year wasn't a playoff year, but held out hopes. EWU is a great football team, just wish UND competed with them.

Kind of what you expect in an opener. Sloppy play at times, but you like the offensive creativity even with it being so early in the season. Grimaldi is a magician with the puck. He's got a magnet somewhere in his stick.

The emphasis in recruiting for the next however many years has got to be the defensive side of the football. Players that can tackle, cover people, and not blow defensive assignments. You're not going to beat elite teams with this.....

Good points. Danny is a bit too shoot happy to be at the top of the point. The top guy needs to be a distributor with the patience to set it up, and wait for the pk unit to show its hand as to what they are doing (pressure box, diamond, box, etc.). I think with Danny on the weakside you make the pk unit respect his presence which stretches them out a bit. That way you have a number of options getting the puck to the net. I like having O'Donnell or Rowney as the third body in front of the net. Size with hands in front never hurts.

Agreed. Kozek broke a bunch of sticks and missed the net a ton. Matty Franchise hit the net with more consistency.

And I thought only UND players broke the code....huh...

My top moments at the Ralph: ~Just after Holy Cross ended Minnesota's season, and the ovation the Sioux got when they got on the ice to play Michigan....sent tingles down my spine ~Frattin's one timer against Minnesota in the playoffs. My lord.....I was sitting in that corner with my wife.....wow.....just wow..... ~Bringing my son to the Ralph for the first time in his Sioux jersey, and getting a picture of us with the scoreboard in the background after the Sioux won.

Yeah....not sure if he counts as a rookie....being he's a Freshmore....

I'll say 6-2 UND. With six different goal scorers. Lets play, which rookie lights the lamp? I'll go with Sanderson.
