  1. Just need the Royals to hold on today and the Indians would be officially dorme. Glad that the Twins should be able to clinch at Target Field this weekend.
  2. Just a formality now of who they'll play in the postseason. After today's game against the Reds, all the teams they are playing are just playing out the rest of the season (Angels, A's, Rockies). Hopefully Royce's hammy isn't an issue, but from the looks of it he will be on the mend a bit. Hoping to see him on the 26 man playoff roster obviously. I'm sure they will give Gray and Pablo one more start before putting them into position to start the Wild Card Week in Minnesota starting on Tuesday 10/3. Stewart and Paddack both threw last night in St. Paul. I would assume we will see them at some point over the next two weeks. Having Stewart in form for the later innings in the bullpen would be fantastic.
  3. I think Cleveland will be okay with Ford. A Rog was the Jets hopes and dreams. Makes you wonder what the 09 Vikes would've looked like if Favre got hurt.
  4. The little things this game guys: -Making extra points. -Holding on to the football. -No drive extending penalties on special teams. -Taking advantage of when the opposing QB throws the ball to your defensive backs. The rabbits are extremely beatable. Montana State proved that. Expecting a one score game in Brookings.
  5. We have got to be top five in FCS football in missed XPs the last however many years. I mean it's at the point where you expect to miss one at least once a week. And when was the last time the Bizen or Jacks missed one? Hell, how about time between two misses? We are three games in with two already....
  6. Hopefully Sonny has another good start and can get his ERA below Cole's for the Yankees.
  7. I really think it's time for a younger and fresher approach. I'll never know a smiggen about the game of football that Bubba does, but I do feel once things feel somewhat dormant it's time for a new approach. I thought I'd love Zimmer coaching my Vikings forever, but the time came and everyone knew. I think it's getting there with Bubba. People will have their differences of opinion about what success looks like. Is it a great season making the tournament most years, but losing out soon after? I dunno, maybe that's where I see things feeling dormant. Every year we're 7-4 and complaining that we got sent on the road before a first round exit.
  8. Didn't see any of the game. From a psyche standpoint we've got to make extra points. Instead of being down one score we're still down 10 because we are chasing a miss on the easiest play in football.
  9. That Don Baylor trade. Man....
  10. 0-2, and with the schedule they've got.....yikes. Kirk haters will hate on the man, but 360 yards passing and 4 TDs when you couldn't run the ball whatsoever is a pretty good night. His run defense was terrible though.
  11. 27-21 Eagles at the moment. The purple just always have to get our hopes up don't they.
  12. As thin as the Vikings line is they can't afford any injuries. Man.....
  13. 7 quarters in they've turned the ball over 7 times. I knew the football gods would be pissed about last year.
  14. Denver finally....and I mean finally, doesn't have a guy names Chrona in the net any more. And according to my research they won't have any other Scandinavians in the net this season either. I've got UND slotted in for a top three finish, but then again I did last year as well, and that wasn't the best prediction I've ever made.
  15. If it ended today: Mariners @ Twins for a best of three series. Not sure who I'd rather see the Twins face. The Twins have been fine against both, but the streak just jumps out and says "not so fast".
  16. Cleveland has like 5 bad losses down the stretch here that has killed them. The lead could be like two games without those. Twins have managed to keep running out Keuchel every 5th day for the last few weeks. Probably his last few weeks in the big leagues ahead.
  17. Twins figure out the Rays and win 3-2. Littell looked good for Tampa. Not sure if we ever tried to start him, but hats off to him. Magic # at 10 for the Central.
  18. Another loss, but Cleveland lost as well. Smart move to get Sonny out early when he clearly didn't have it. 90 pitches in four innings is a lot to throw.
  19. I'm excited for the game. A great opportunity at a historical location on national TV. I thought Danny called a great game last week. He and Tommy seem to be in tune with one another. I hope I'm wrong obviously, but I'll say: Boise 35. UND 24.
  20. Won't be able to run the ball at all so throw the "establish the run" BS out the window. Offense will probably need to score 30 to win the game, so probably can't afford to punt much.
  21. Magic number drops again with Cleveland officially in a nose dive. Great performance by Lopez today. Too bad nobody wanted to hit.
  22. Three turnovers and lining up offside to give them a TD instead of three. Only two balls to Jefferson the second half? I will say that the defense was better to watch. I can never live through another season of the Donashell.
  23. Post your thoughts. Why are we all still fans??
