I've followed some the youth levels and to see what those bantam teams are doing from Grand Forks is scary. Back when I played there was a North and a South Grand Forks in the youth levels. Guess I'm not sure why they got away from that? They played with the same group from 6th grade on up through high school. I guess the only time North and South kids played together was Stallions if they didn't make their respective high school teams. In Fargo are they splitting up Davies and South kids on Bantam teams? How about the angels? Anybody got an idea if there is hope for a Shanley high school team again?

It takes a lot to watch/follow a team that loses that many games. In my dad's time at UND they lost way more than they won. But he was still at every game, living the college dream. Kind of unique, when my dad started at UND the Old Ralph was new, and when I started at UND the New Ralph was just getting going. Will there be a New Ralph part 3 when my two year old enrolls in UND in the Fall of 2030? Could be later, depends on how many years that Hak wants him to play juniors.

Me and my old man will be there, and possibly three more as well. ItalianSioux is a possibility, and two others that will be in group at the Target Center as well. Could be bringing five in the Wilbur posse.

We don't talk about Rube.....And if we are talking about a rube, like sports nut as per say, we have to clarify this as well. If you want to set my dad off, talk about the stretch when he was at UND when they only won 16 games in two seasons.....and lost 51 games during that time period as well.

I almost didn't say who I was last year, but there were so many good people there that I had to introduce myself to Mafia and a few others. Such a good crowd of people. I don't think goldy gopher herself would get bullied at the Hogg.

Brad made a good point on his blog or a tweet he made. No more winning the league and getting Tech or Anchorage. I think more importantly, win three of four games to close out the year and that likely means the team has an autobid into the postseason. Of course getting to the Target Center is pretty important now that I have tickets....

Starman and whoever the play by play guy is for CBS do a sensational job covering college hockey. UND has a pretty good record this year when they show up too.

Hey, here is 98 million dollars to come back home and live near family and play hockey. NO!!! I love New Jersey. They drafted me and I'll take less money to play here and enjoy driving in Trenton. It's a business.

Team on a definite high after the last two weekends. If you told me in the last stretch of 6 games they'd go 5-1 any one of us would have been thrilled. I like the way UND is playing. Getting good goaltending, getting contributions from just about everybody, and specialty teams may have taken a swing for the better. Swept by SCSU to begin the year, and now they meet five months later with a completely different UND team. How many of us on November 29th (the night they got beaten by St. Lawrence), saw them tied atop the conference with SCSU, playing games against them in late February/early March for the top seed in the conference? Ohhh, and sitting #10 in the pairwise with a chance to lock up an auto bid before the postseason tournament? To quote my good friend gfhockey......fire Hak.

I thought it was a pretty well officiated game until the end. Let them play up until the last 7 minutes of the game. Can't believe they called that hook on Bismarck, and then the tripping on Central in Bismarck's end with 16 seconds left. They need to have the ice crew put the plastic net moorings in for the tournament instead of the metal pegs. The net came off far too many times. Not only this game, but in a lot of the games that I watched. I'm a former goalie.....you bet your @ss we know what we're doing when the net continually gets knocked off in a game.

Their student section would yell MIGHTY MIGHTY.....MIGHTY MIGHTY MIGHTY....SATANS!!!! Loved it! And they always asked me for my mom's phone number. Even though my dad was right there.
