I don't think so. Committee could protect top overall, but second number one seed will end up in Fargo. Duluth bussing to Fargo sounds better to NCAA than Western flying to Fargo and Duluth and Denver flying to other locations as well. Now....if Goldy was a one seed.....

I guess life as a two seed in Cincinnati is the way to be.

Denver has done the same thing every year they've been in the third place game. Pros: -Zero chance of top guys getting hurt before real season starts next weekend, and you don't want your best players having runs taken at them in a meaningless hockey game. Cons: Starting a bit of a losing skid going into the NCAA's, giving your players the mentality that not every game they lace em up for your university is of the utmost importance. Sucks for fans who bought tickets too, because you could see a really good hockey game between two top five teams. Instead one team will go through the motions. Then again, how many Denver fans are actually there?

Could mean Western in Fargo as a 1 seed....hmmmm...

Methinks tonight is a great time to wear the green jerseys (business suits shipped to Fargo). My bet is that any players that are dinged up for UND won't play tonight. Boeser, Shaw, Bowen? It's a big game, but they are now definitely in Fargo next weekend and that's got to be the bigger focus moving forward.
