Never complain about a win, but boy this team just goes through terrible moments defensively. Hughes is a big time liability. If you are going to act hurt after getting checked go to the bench instead of standing there and then retreating to your end to watch your guy score. I'm guessing USA-RUSSIA Tuesday night.

As for the hockey..... Czechs lead Swiss 4-3 in the third period. They get 2nd seed if they win and Sweden wins.

Agreed, and Buffalo will want him with Eichel ASAP. There are a ton of guys in the NHL that aren't great away from the puck (Eichel), but when Middelstadt has the puck he's already at a world class level. Buffalo fans probably want him with the Sabres in January.

So Canada will win the group tomorrow. That means that Sunday's game between the US and the Finns likely decides second place unless Slovakia rolls the table, which would give them 2nd. Just have to avoid Russia in the quarters. Never know which Russia will show up.

USA wins the shootout. Didn't watch the game at all (screw work), but I'll eat crow if they dug in and played better hockey.

You can outshoot a team all you want, but when you get out desired by your opponent you deserve to lose every time. This team won't medal unless the coaching staff gets them to care.
