I think you've got something with Jerry running the ball. Get him running around a bit along with the RB by committee and then that opens things in the passing game. Head over heart. UND 27 Grizz 24

We may have had more TD passes to TEs in that game yesterday than we did combined in the last ten years.
-
Loved watching Chaves hand the ball to coach. Also loved seeing Bubba leading a parade and not the team.

Someone needs to explain contain to Portland State. Pending the XP, its 36-6.
-
Decided to get fancy and it cost them a score.
-
If Portland State needs guys for Hawaii I'll go. I can't imagine things would be any worse for them with me playing Mike linebacker for them.
-
Can someone explain what a TE is, and why we decided to start using one?
-
My God, Portland State at Hawaii next week? BYU, UND, Hawaii.... I blame the jet legs for their 0-3 start.
-
@Oxbow6 attendance estimate?

At this point they are looking at a 100 loss season next year. The players who are "major league caliber" that they got back in trades aren't going to do anything, outside of maybe the young arms that have some chance to develop. Probably at the lowest point in franchise history, and I lived through the post 1991 WS teams until 2000. The Pohlads really turned a potentially good team into a disaster.

I think I'm going to head up next Saturday and watch. An effort like today deserves support.

Again, proud of the kids, represented the university well today. Losing hurts but it feels a lot better bickering about a chance to beat a top 25 FBS team on the road with a play or two that could've gone differently than about the team falling apart and folding like a tent with the previous coach.
-
Credit to the kids, they battled. The third quarter was the difference. Others have already said it. Chance to win the game, attack mentality on offense. The play before the 2 minute warning can't be a run up the gut, just can't. Great first game for Jerry. Proud of the way he played.

Everyone talks a lot about the Slukynsky in the net, but I thought Grant was excellent in the postseason for them on the line with Nehring and Valente. They return a good amount of their d core too. Having Herter back there doesn't hurt things by any means.
-
I should've said in the top three of the league, or top half of the league.
-
I see Western being at the top until Pat leaves for the NHL. That jerk just got Cooper Soller to commit to Kalamazoo too.....
-
Kyle Hamilton now being the highest paid safety just makes me cringe. He was there for the taking in 2022, and we moved way back to take a guy who will be out of the league or on a practice squad. You are going to miss on numerous picks obviously, but that one was so clear, and it would've filled a major need. He could have learned from the hit man along the way too.

Okay, Jerry is QB1..... Mods.....
-
Agreed. Lets see how many points he puts up on the prep team as a 16 year old, and then beyond. I think he's a kid that you could see in Dubuque next year as well if he keeps growing and adding mass, but the Wheat Kings are likely.
-
Maybe Grubb can get his buddy Soller to UND.... Edit* I see he is a WMU commit. Shoot.
-
First Western ND kid since..... Is it Fylling and Massen?
-
Sam Howell, we barely knew you. Brosmer not quite ready, in comes Wentz. Hope he just sits back and watches JJ have a great year. Now about a WR.....
-
Hope you are right! This program needs an outcome like that.
