  1. I bet nobody asked them before someone decided it was offensive.
  2. As a descendent of Norwegian and German Pioneers who took a risk and came to North Dakota to start farms I'd say its about time. I say take back all of DU's national championships and put each hockey player into sensitivity training. Especially that Brink kid, he's good. It's about time. Its about time.
  3. When the offense isn't going that's your time as a manager to try and create offense. Hit and run, steal, bunt, etc. The numbers can say all they want, but when your team is lacking an approach you've got to make something happen instead of sitting back and letting nothing happen. For God sakes, its okay to have a runner thrown out from time to time. Losing Romo should help his bullpen management, although the only way to go from here is up with pitching decisions.
  4. Or not bunted Gladden over to third base.
  5. If they let Cruz walk and trade Rosario they'd have the salary to go after Brantley. I'd love to see Hendricks back, but all star closer will have a price tag.
  6. I agree. Cruz isn't getting any younger. They seriously blew it not trading Rosario before this season to the Marlins. They were willing to give us two good young arms and now we have zero trade leverage. I shop the market with Kepler too. Admit signing him long term was a mistake, and let the young kids come up and act like they care instead of him. Pitching wise they have questions. Maeda, Berrios, Pineda, and then maybe Alcala and Dobnak are your rotation. Gotta find a free agent pitcher, but they never go get big name pitchers.
  7. At least Berrios was good and they didn't kick the ball around. Goodbye: Hill, Odorizzi, Romo, Avila, Bailey, Marwin, Homer. Decisions ahead on guys like May and Clippard and Rosario, and Cruz.
  8. I just did not appreciate that championship enough in 1991. Watched every pitch of the series with my dad, and wondered why it was such a big deal for him. 30 years next year.
  9. At what moment does a player step up and break this streak? Is there a hero?
  10. Buxton pinch running for Cruz.
  11. Nope.
  12. 2-1 Astros. Stashak gives up a bomb. Nine bullets left. Then we are talking 18 consecutive and why Rocco is still the manager.
  13. Why does Springer get to chirp but not Rosario??? Wow....
  14. What a terrible spot to send a terribly slow runner.....
  15. Kepler.....protect? No?
  16. I was told by Rocco they have to create offense when they aren't hitting. Guess moving runners doesn't fall under that definition.
  17. I can never be a fan of the shift with how it has killed the Twins under Rocco.
  18. Great shift Rocco. SUPERB! 1-0 Astros.
  19. We sure we don't want to pinch hit for Jeffers now with a guy who can't hit water from a boat????
  20. Bases loaded in the first and its his first mlb at bat......wish he had actual mlb appearances before this one.
  21. Saving a year of mlb service on his rookie contract is my best guess.
  22. Can't lose game three if it doesn't happen. If they don't get it done against a sub .500 team it'll never get done.
  23. The Minnesota Sports fan in me has an awful....AWFUL feeling about today's game. I see nervous at bats, not moving runners, a wild Berrios, and more sloppy play in the field in big spots. I'm not over yesterday. A lefty who only threw flipping curve balls no hit them for 4 plus innings.....
  24. Yeah. I'll hold off on any guesses for what they'll do until the clock strikes midnight. There are some guys that need new uniforms and it starts at the top if they lose this round.
  25. Speaking of great moves.....
