I'm not gonna lie, If I was a decent hockey player getting recruited to the college game, you could throw all the Ralph has to offer and such, but if it came down to UND or playing at ASU.....ASU might win.... The campus, the golf, the weather, the girls.....yeah some things are more important than Nattys to kids nowadays.....

IMHO If they've got Spicer coming in its got to be in a top 6 role. He scored today, has had a good year on a GREAT U18 team, and adds finishing ability on a team needing it like UND.

Michigan and Western were set to play each other in the GLI, a day after Michigan played Tech. Michigan with a few guys gone to the WJC so they canceled the game "for health and safety protocols within the wolverine program." This was two days before the teams played, and Michigan still played Tech....Michigan would have been able to have a full lineup or close to it.

That might be one of the worst coaching decisions I've ever seen.

The topic of Michigan ducking Western has been brought up a few times the past few days. Schloss says "it will be a hot topic at the coaches meetings" in Florida. Thats what we hear about the regional sites discussion as well. Instead of taking time on the golf course this year lets hash out a fricken solution to this travesty that is regional neutral sites attendance. The biggest/often most intense games happening in front of poor crowds....but come play college hockey kids. Amazing how the Memorial Cup up north has a host city team in the event every year and people roll with it because it adds to an already great atmosphere. End rant.

Been like 20 plus years for most of these teams or never. I can handle the blind gopher finding a nut. In order: 1. Go Kato 2. Go Pios 3. Michigan 4. Gophers I don't see Michigan beating Denver if the Pios played like they did yesterday.

Funny thing is that if Goldy beats Michigan at home they would have been sent to Loveland as that #1 seed and gotten the pios. That was a good loss.

Denver is a better team than Duluth, and the smart pick, but I went kiss of death mode on Duluth. I've always ended some teams season (See SCSU/Minnesota/Us) while @Dave Berger has put this on. I've grown to dislike Duluth enough now to where I will just pick them when they make it to end their hopes.

Our inability to be able to roll into anything other than an umbrella/overload at times hurt. When Sanderson was healthy you couldn't press the top guy (him) on our PP or you were asking for trouble. Our PP lived and died with Sanderson unfortunately. We had some success in 4-3 PP looks, but what team doesn't with all that space?

I'm glad the coaches were proactive with the goaltending position. Maybe it was unnecessary if the Swede has a big summer and takes the net and runs with it all year. However, the kid just didn't get in there enough this season. Wonder what the conversation with Hedquist was like? Doesn't turn 20 until February so still plenty of junior eligibility.
