Alright, UND heads to Oxford for a pair. An interesting side note, when I googled Miami Hockey it brought up the Florida one and no kidding, Darius Kaspariatis is the head hockey coach there. If their club team went D1, I'd definitely make that road trip. The Ohio Miami has only won one of their last six games. They still have Ludvig, so at any time this weekend we could get hot goalied. I checked their team stats, and a ton of their guys are in the minus category on the old +- chart....not good. Their leading point getter is a -6. Lets not get cute after we took it to Denver and the red head. Go in there, play with the identity that we have to play with, and get two wins on the road. Loved our lines on Saturday night with Ford out. This has all the makings of a big weekend for Gaber-Schmaltz-Judd. The Prediction: UND 4-Miami 1 UND 5-Miami 2

Team does not spend a second killing a penalty in a game on the road. Team has player take cheap flying run at the head of the Captain of other team that isn't initially called by reffs. Team then watches cleaner hit get called a major to negate 5 minute major for other team. Fans complain about bad officiating.....

Its just like UND football. We have an older by the book coach who isn't willing to change the way he's always done things and makes extremely poor in game management decisions.

The most frustrating thing about this season is each MVFC loss was right there and all had a circumstance of events that just killed things. NDSU: WTF playcall there Bubba... USD: Big let down after NDSU....team just not there. SIU: Starting kicker hurt....replacement can't hit short kick. MO state: You wouldn't believe it unless you've been here seeing it. If we scrap out two of those we are 6-3 and a win against Illinois State gets us in the postseason and the team has zero pressure in Brookings. Top three teams in the league standings....two of the games on the road....and we should have won em all.

I'm all in on the Jammer line. No high end guys on that line, just grinders that matchup well with a skill line, plus you have two guys that can take draws depending on the side of the rink a faceoff is. The first and third period last night gives me hope that this group can do some special things in the league.

I think something may of clicked with Judd. The kid decided that he is capable of putting his shoulder down and using his body to get to the net, and that he's capable of beating d men wide without having to put his shoulder down and leaning on someone. The Gaber-Schmaltz-Judd line can be super good at times, which means the Ford-Calder-Constantini line can be a thing, and the Jammer-Hain-Senden line can continue to shut down the Savoies and the Brinks of the world. 4th line was alright. Dare I say Ness' best game at UND? Frisch-Sanderson, Kleven-Jandric played this weekend kind of how I expected them to be. Good puck management and just not a ton of great opportunities for Denver. Driscoll the NCHC goalie of the week, in large part due to them.

Yup, go after Kleven....smart.
