Truly remarkable that the team won 13 games with that defense.

Funny thing about this year was at no time did they get my hopes up super high. Not even after the Buffalo game. The defense was just too God awful all year long. Welp, next year as always Viking fans!!

If they blow it up it may be time for Kirk to go as well. Not worth paying him up the hilt if it's a rebuild they seek.

Like I said. Hey, 13 wins this season, can't complain. Get some pieces on defense and a guy with a different philosophy on defense and next year we could be real superbowl contenders.

Extremely low point in UND athletics, much agreed. I'll be honest and say I'm all in hockey and football and can't name a single player on pretty much any other team. Not like any of them are doing anything anyways.

Johnson was alright. Not great by any means of the imagination. It was an all in on black attempt by Berry to get his team a spark. Practices hard, a great teammate, but he's not Matt Hrynkiw, and we don't have the support around him that Matt did. Hopefully it's a wake-up call to 34 and 32 because we can't start Johnson again. My opinion is that the success of the group will live and die with DeRidder. If he can find the form he had at Mariucci maybe there is some hope of a run to the postseason. If the season ends much the same as what we've seen to this point then at minimum we need to see two new goalies on campus next fall. Fortunately Hobie Hedquist has played really well his last 10 games up in the BC after kind of an average start to the season.

This is 100% correct. How in the world has it gotten to this? "How many goals do you think Johnson will give up tonight" a friend asked me when word got out. Minimum 5 I said.....guess I was wrong again.

We are so bad defensively. Cheese has been okay, but we just can't do the simple things.

How about we play in their end.

The recruiting of goaltenders has got to be evaluated this off-season. We are in a bad spot.

Glad Johnson is battling but this is what I expected. Figure out a way to get through 20 minutes without getting scored on.

I think its win by a score or lose by a score against the Giants, either wouldn't surprise me. I agree about playing San Fran. The defense isn't close to being able to stop that rushing attack, and our O-line won't be able to not get Kirk killed. Addressing both lines in the offseason is a must.

Yup, almost assured we see an EDC tournament repeat. The top West seed has some hope, but playing and beating a Davies or a GFC at REA is tough feat.
