    An old WCHA foe comes calling. They just got swept by UMASS, we split with the rightful #1 team. Thoughts? @Goon wants a sweep, I just want everyone to have fun. Hedquist on Saturday after we win 5-1 on Friday? Ja?

    Gopher fans complaining about penalties in opposing arena.... Honestly, how many times on Saturday did you say "ohh $hit we got away with one there"? When you have the puck more you are less likely to have penalties, that's hockey. When GFC had 6 D1 hockey players years ago when I was coaching Wahpeton they outshot us 56-1. They had no penalties....ummm...surprise?

    Tommy can run the offense superbly at times, but there are things that we can't do based on his arm strength and size. If we can't run the ball at all we are screwed. If a team sits back in coverage he isn't hitting Belquist on a 20 yard slant because he doesn't have the arm to make that throw like we saw yesterday. I think it's a credit to him that he will hold many records after leaving Grand Forks, truly remarkable with his skill set. He will likely pass Klancher this season for TD passes, that's pretty impressive. Open question: Does it say more about the other guys not being close to ready for game situations that we haven't seen them more? Or is Bubba sticking to his guy and that's final? I'm just as ticked as everyone. Seems like last week was three steps forward....now three back.

    If he keeps this up a pro contract is coming. The coaches will need to find a way to get Hedquist into a game or two going forward. Maybe next Saturday night? If he's not ready it makes sense. Ludvig is the man but it's the old, "one heartbeat away" adage.

    I'm not sure if the Ness line can play any more without it coming on a draw in neutral or Minnesota's end on a line match.

    Absolutely a terrible job of the entire staff getting the team to look past that NDSU game and on to the next week. They were not ready at all, and they got smoked by a team with a defensive guy playing RB. Tommy was bad, Bubba was bad, Danny was bad.....everyone was bad.
