  1. Great read on when to jump the zone and made no doubt on the breakaway. Thought he played a great 4th line center today, very responsible defensively, won some draws too. That team is so loaded its stupid.
  2. Spicer snipes one for a 7-3 lead. Anxious to see where he ends up now. And now Howard with his 4th. These USA kids could be up 12-1 with how they've dominated. Excellent for college hockey.
  3. Jackson Blake has got his work cut out for him if he's going to win NCHC rookie of the year. Howard with his third. Although Canada's d zone is about as clean as my ten year old's room.
  4. The Dogs got one with Howard. Love kids with a shoot first mentality. Wonder how many shots he's attempted so far.
  5. U18 playing Canada right now. Duluth Bulldog Isaac Howard just scored. This has to be the best US 18 team since the Clayton Keller group. Tons of really good hockey players coming into the college game next year.
  6. As little as they've hit its amazing they're 6-8. The pitching has been outstanding. They may just have an ace with Joe Ryan. Love guys that go right at hitters.
  7. Did something finally give with Rocco? Ohh my he actually yelled at the end there!!!!!
  8. Chrona coming back to Denver. I'd say he ends up as a Richter award nominee.
  9. This ^^^ College baseball gets fabulous crowds for their super regionals. And if I'm a fan of college hockey growth I can't be pissy about my team playing in a crazy environment at Yost, if Michigan has earned the right to play there. The way it is next season, UND could have a sub par season, barely get in as a #4, and host the #1 seed in front of a crazy Scheels arena. I can't imagine the atmosphere at Mariucci/the Ralph if you had a UND-Goldy best of three super regional to go to the frozen four.
  10. He was traded to the Sharks.
  11. I thought Chrona would have signed by now. I'd bet the kid wins all the goaltending awards if back for another season.
  12. I don't know if you put him in the Bo Jackson category, but it kind of seems like it.
  13. Duffey not off to a great start. I will say that Sanchez has been a surprise. Hitting roughly 30 points better than I thought he would. Thankfully for Kepler he got his contract a few years ago. He will make another 15 million before the Twins buy him out for a million in 2024.
  14. You take a split in Boston most of the time, but they should've won the series, much like Seattle. Wonder how long Buxton is out.
  15. I remember last year we heard over and over...."its early....plenty of season." Before you knew it they were so far behind there was zero hope.
  16. I'm not sure if it's been said here or not, but there seems to be a stigma within the NTDP kids about playing a year of juniors instead of going directly to college. As @The Sicatoka mentioned above, we have seen our share at UND that could have used more time in juniors, but instead came right away. I mean you have your Cooleys and Zegras type kids that don't need that extra year and won't miss a beat, but then you have a kid like Scheel where we know what another year of development did for the kid instead of jumping in too soon.
  17. So forwards for next year: Possibly 17 at the moment? Frosh: Blake, Strinden, McLaughlin, James. Soph: Matteo, Montgomery, Kunz, Schmaltz, Portz. Juniors: Jammer, Ness, Gaber Seniors: Judd, Budy, Albrecht Super Seniors: Hain, Senden. I put James on the list only because he topped 60 points as a rookie in the USHL which is rare. He has to be in next year right?
  18. Alright. Update on the kids that are coming in next season. Spicer situation sucks, but he won't be here. Ben Strinden: 25 goals, 30 assists. Jackson Blake: 25 goals, 50 assists. Owen McLaughlin: 28 goals, 43 assists. Dylan James: 27 goals, 33 assists. Blake looking to be the next Nick Schmaltz type feeder guy on the top unit, with McLaughlin your likely 2nd line center. Watching Blake on a line with Gaber could give us flashbacks to his dad playing with David Hoogsteen.
  19. Now there is an old USCHO name I remember! Thanks for sharing a take here.
  20. *Would need* And if they can prevent him from going to: Duluth, SCSU, Omaha, and Denver that'd be great. I've heard that East Lansing is nice.
  21. He signed his letter of intent so UND still needs to release him from that if they haven't already done so.
  22. A good take on the matter. I think they should have brought Spicer in, but thats my opinion. I think another case for your argument would be Judd. Kid absolutely should have played a year or two in the USHL.
  23. I'm in the boat of you bring the kid in. Had some injury issues at NTDP, but is on a team littered in fabulous talented. Get Budy to the transfer portal, and send Montgomery back to the USHL for a year. Being a North Dakota kid I hope for the best for him. Hopefully he has a nice career somewhere, but not against us.
  24. Rodgers with his 3rd save in three chances. Will gladly eat crow if Paddack and Pagan become legends.....
