Hey everyone, just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions from way back in September. We're leaving very early Friday morning, so we should get into town with time to spare for Friday's game. We'll be in town all day Saturday, then drive back Sunday. Looking forward to a great weekend of hockey. If anyone spots me, feel free to say hi...I would think I'd be the only person wearing a UNO hat and probably/possibly a Missouri hoodie. Go Sioux!

You won't be getting Sitting Bull because your school chose to end it as a traveling trophy, not because your team is going to lose the game on Saturday. As for the game, I think South Dakota gets the win this year.
It seems as though South Dakota is the favored pick both here and on AGS. If this game is played 4 or 5 weeks ago I have a feeling the picks would be a lot different. I would like to think our seniors are going to show up and play a full four quarters and give the 'yotes all they can handle.

This may have been mentioned already and I am too lazy to check but look for Fresno State to be added to the 2010 schedule. They are always a tough physical team.
Does this mean that Hawaii will not be on the schedule? I believe we already have Idaho, as an FBS team, scheduled for that year as well or maybe they aren't on the schedule until 2011.

I was told by someone very close to Ryan Chappell that he will be playing for the Fighting Sioux next fall. He told me that he would like to play wide receiver. With Bamba and Chappell at wideouts that would be Big 10 speed at the wideouts.
Won't that be fun to watch. He also said Ryan has very good hands.
If this is true, it will be very exciting. I would assume that Ryan would only have one year of eligibility left if he does in deed come back...correct?

I think this will be our toughest game to date and have a feeling that things could get ugly if UC Davis jumps out to a quick start. UND seems to play well when they are the underdog and I'm always good for a homer pick so I'll say...

Couple of quick questions about this Friday's game. Does Mankato hockey get covered on TV in the cities ? If so, which station ? Also, Is this game sold out or will it sell out ? I'm going to the Northern Iowa-Bison game on Saturday and we're staying in the cities Friday night so I was thinking if we left early enough Friday I just might go down to the game Friday night in Mankato, make it a really fun sports weekend. I've never been to a game there before so I'm kind of in the dark.
I was at both games last year and there was a large crowd but I don't believe it was sold out as there were spots of empty seats in many areas. UND had a very large presence at both games and I would expect the same this year.

Mr. Lennon and his Salukis are taking on Indiana State. The game just started on FCS Central if anyone wants to watch. SIU scored a long touchdown pass on their first play from scrimmage. 7-0
I'm heading to the Mayville State's homecoming game against Dickinson State so I will be unable to follow the whole game.
SIU is up 50-0 at halftime! They seem to be getting out their frustrations from last weeks second half collapse...

I was planning on going to Texas Tech to see our first FBS game...If we do end up playing Hawaii and it is scheduled for next year, I may have a tough decision to make

For whatever reason, he just bugged the !@$! out of me.

Where are everyone's tickets for Mankato? I thought I remembered the visiting section being around 101/201/102/202 so that's where I got mine. I hope that's right.
The last time I was in Mankato, I was threatened by a hillbilly for making fun of the Landcows. Nothing says good father like swearing at an opposing fan in front of your three year old son.
It's great how Ticketmaster doesn't have a seating chart for hockey. The major event that the Alltel Center hosts and they don't have a seating chart for it. What a bunch of hicks.

Do you guys have a quarterback who is a shoe in for the QB spot next year or is it pretty wide open?
My guess is that former Central player, Jake Landry, will be the guy. He has seen some action in some of our blowouts...I believe he will be a junior next year.

Young as in Angus and Malcom Young of AC/DC. Just saw on Pollstar that they are playing the Fargodome on Saturday January 17th! This is one band I've always wanted to see, but haven't had the opporunity to.

October 1st? I had it marked down on my calendar as October 6th.
We went to Mankato last year for just the Saturday night game. It was a blast so we are going to hit up both games this year. We also made the Saturday St. Cloud game, but I found Mankato a much better time.
Let's get this season started already! Go Sioux!
Tix go on sale the first monday of October which is October 6th. I agree with the above sentiments, Mankato is a great trip. As much fun as I've had in Madison for hockey trips, I would have to say Mankato is as much fun if not more. I plan to be at the Saturday night game this year...
