Hardly 100% useless. It gives a preview of how the NPI will shake out, as there isn’t a great deal of difference between NPI and PWR. Which is why USCHO is showing the PWR. Yeah, it’s early but the PWR shouldn’t be discounted.

NCHC goes 8-0-1 on Friday night to jump a game ahead of the Big Ten and Hockey East in nonconference records. Tough night for the CCHA, going 0-8.

Nice work overall. Beat the Tommies to loose pucks, crashed the boards, solid goaltending, and nice passing on the power play. Still too many stick penalties but pleased with what I saw.

I haven’t yet seen an NCHC prediction on this board for 2025-26, so here goes: 1 North Dakota 2 Western Michigan 3 Denver 4 Arizona State 5 Colorado College 6 Minnesota Duluth 7 Omaha 8 St. Cloud State 9 Miami ND may struggle early with scoring as lines are shuffled around but defense will be strong, with it all coming together in second half. Only question at this point is goaltending.

Hopefully we out-structure them. 😉
