Meh. They will sleep on the plane and be chomping at the bit to play. When they aren’t playing games during the week, they are practicing hard. I expect DJ to put them on the ice, perhaps limited time but they definitely should play.

They fly back that day. So what? They are young strong college athletes. They’ll put their skates on and play that night and should be expected to play hard.

Homer will be in net Friday against his old mates. He should be pumped and set the tone for the weekend.

While talent is an innate natural ability, it needs to be developed with practice to become a skill. Scouts see that natural ability in their youth but it can (and often does) stop there. Do you see any of these Minnie kids playing in the NHL? I don’t. The skill development just isn’t there. Just a lot of very average hockey players.

I said before the Minnie series that they have a serious lack of talent, then got trashed by someone to remain nameless on this board for saying it. Well I’ll say it again, Minnie has no talent. They may end the season at the bottom of the Big 10. Who in that league is worse?

Agree. Who plays should be based on the week’s practice performance in addition to previous game performance. The coaches get to see both.

I think North Dakota will remain around 8th and Duluth will be about 10th.

I lived in Denver for many years. The town is hockey nuts for the Avalanche and really don’t care much about the small private College team. Also, the place is full of California/west coast types who care very little for the sport.

I think DJ set the lineup and put lines on the ice with defense in mind. We definitely clogged up the middle and gave Spunar rebound support compared to Friday. Forechecking tenacity was a big improvement too.

Passing was really off this weekend. Need to work on pucks on sticks in shooting and tip-in positions this week. So many missed opportunities this weekend. Gonna need those to click against Duluth.

#4 should be moved to a forward position.
