  1. I wanted two more years of Jake. I hope he made the right move, but only time will tell.
  2. There was no tearing down of Jake. He was a great talent and really disappointing that he was such a short timer. Played maybe the equivalent of a season. As fans, we all wanted to see more of him. You're the one who pivoted. Smart people like Oxbow6 understood my point exactly. You, on the other hand....
  3. "To me the biggest disappointment in recent years has been Jake Sanderson. Came and went. Flash in the pan. Played the equivalent of a season and a half for the Sioux. Got a lot of ink but left no legacy. We don't need any more short timers like that, especially the injury prone type. One and done or two and flew programs don't win championships." Here the original post, stoner. Now tell me again what I really meant? I'll wait. Oxbow6 seemed to comprehend it, but you floated off on some lame azz tangent that tells me you have serious reading comprehension issues.
  4. Absolutely exactly right. Such a great talent who left here with hardly leaving a mark. I enjoyed the hell out of watching him play, albeit a very short period of time. So very unfortunate...and yes, disappointing.
  5. Wrong again Stoner. DM me, I'll send you the name of a reading comprehension tutor I know. No it wasn't. That was EXACTLY my point. I understand UND offers reading comprehension classes. Take 'em up.
  6. I'm talking about all young talented recruits. Pay attention.
  7. If he were my kid, I damn sure would. I guess we just have a difference in values.
  8. Except most don't, and are now selling cars or trying to find a high school coaching job.
  9. LOL. Yeah hundreds of examples out of many many thousands..... And yeah it's possible he could built huge wealth in the NHL if he has a lasting injury-free career. You do understand there's risk there, right? Why not take advantage of a 4-year college degree and mature as an adult in doing so? A kid's brain isn't fully developed until they are 25 or so. They need some adults to assist them until then. Seriously bud, there are a lot of hockey players that regret leaving too soon.
  10. Yup dude, it's all about the Benjamins. A college degree will never get you anywhere in life after getting banged around the NHL for ten years if you're lucky. It's never a bad time to impress upon a kid that it's not all about him, if his parents hadn't already.
  11. Such a silly thing to say. Of course I'd recruit a Jake Sanderson...with the presence to persuade him to mature and strengthen as an upperclassman and help win a championship. Not to mention college degrees are a pretty special thing to have, especially when they are free. Again, how did Duluth and Denver win natty's three out of the last four years?
  12. I didn't say it was Sanderson's fault. Geesh, I said he was a disappointment. His injuries and short time status were.
  13. You haven't answered why Duluth and Denver have won those three recent championships. Hint: they didn't do it with freshmen. Why have those programs been able to keep players for 3 or 4 years?
  14. So you want more flashy players who play a season and a half, or do want a national championship? Tell me, how did Denver and Duluth win those titles?

  16. What would a split do for us in the Pairwise?
  17. This is where we lost the game to WMU for certain. Hopefully the coaches have had them working on that this week. Notre Dame is bigger than us so it has to be stressed. Also clearing the zone is huge. Notre is very good at capitalizing on clearing and breakout turnovers.
  18. Notre Dame has the second weakest power play of the 16 teams in the tournament. The weakest? Duluth.
  19. I’ve watched Notre Dame play several times this season. They are strong forecheckers and score a lot on forced turnovers. Strong defensively, giving up barely over 2 goals per game. Not a strong offense as you said, and one of the weakest power plays in the Big 10. The team that scores two will likely win this game. Three for sure. I like our chances too.
  20. Crack is taking Duluth by storm I hear.
