  1. I think you're on to something...
  2. I thought about this earlier today. If the HPC was built using money from donors and not from the state, wouldn't the cost of the new sign be covered by the same source? And what about the Alerus? I know UND has paid to have things added/changed, but its still a city owned facility. There's probably less of a chance city money paid for the sign, but its still a possibility. The op ed in the Herald this morning seemed a bit premature.
  3. Move Freund to recruiting coordinator and hire a RB coach. Not only do I think he's the right guy for the job, but hiring for a position vs hiring for a position and recruiting coordinator who needs to learn the landscape in a hurry, will be a much smoother transition.
  4. Right, but you still have to box out and play the shot, which they weren't doing.
  5. Sac St is getting chance after chance with offensive rebounds. We're a much bigger/taller team yet we can't even be close in the rebounding category (just my guess...haven't seen/heard any numbers).
  6. Sounds like the hockey portion is disbanding due to a lack of teams.
  7. I have a feeling the game isn't at the Alerus simply because of cost. The Alerus isn't free but the tickets are. I know this is a great opportunity for fans to get excited for the fall, but with all the budget talk, I have to imagine money has a lot to do with it.
  8. When you get the ball back with under 30 seconds to play, why is Hooker not handling the ball?? Those are always big possessions, yet we don't have our best player taking control. Seems like a wasted opportunity. And yes, Shanks needs to take a seat. Need big minutes out of Avants and Bernstine. Those guys need to have a big second half.
  9. This was one of the first things that came to mind when the conference move was announced. The WatchBigSky app/Eversport is a great benefit for those of us who can't travel. I hope Faison and Co. can have some discussions about a similar option with the new conferences. I know a lot more games will be picked up by Midco now, but once you head east, not so much.
  10. No, he wasn't listed as one. Pure speculation here, but UND pegged him as a safety while Winona St tweeted about him at WR. Maybe defense wasn't really where he wanted to play. Who knows.
  11. Someone posted it a few pages back...I believe it'll be on the 27th.
  12. Trolling. Don't waste your breath, Darell.
  13. Absolutely. There were plenty of opportunities to take the game back.
  14. North #44 Graham DeVore South #36 Jalen Morrison, #4 Boltmann, #15 Leif Bungum, #59 Ezekiel Ott, #67 Connor Kruse
  15. The dropped balls were crucial, no doubt. With all of the great catches we saw by the receiving corps this year, I'm still surprised there were so many drops. But the missed FG, blocked punt, and running into the kicker penalty is (in my opinion) what really did us in. No question.
  16. Exactly! I'm all for the younger guys getting reps and resting the big 2, but this game is not over.
  17. Until someone throws it from a wildcat formation, it's not going to work! Man.
  18. 10-7 UND
  19. Throwing a corner route is MUCH different than chucking it downfield. And Norberg didn't have a single carry last week either. Remember why our starting QB is not playing today?
  20. 1st and goal at the 5 and they don't try Wanzek in the corner? How about Norberg? What did he do to all of a sudden not get a single carry?
  21. Not sure why Santiago didn't take that last run to the edge. He's been going there all game so far and having success. Why now try to turn it up field? Costly choice.
  22. Instead of just typing out players names, can we please say what they did?? Not all of us can listen to the game. Thanks!
  23. I did as well, however on one of his better runs he got in the D man's face in a taunting manner, similar to Hunt. We don't need that on either side of the ball. Do your job, and act like you've been there before.
  24. Almost every "fan" sitting in my section did just that. Sat. We were on defense and people just stared when I'd stand and cheer and clap as though I was interrupting their viewing. And this was at the beginning of the game, so the 6 consecutive 3 and outs hadn't even happened yet. You're right that no one seemed to care until we started getting back into the game in the 4th. There might as well have been 6,000 people there for the majority of the game because it felt like a library in there at times.
  25. This crowd is pathetic. No one standing on defense. Even on 3rd down people are sitting with their arms crossed. Lame. Feels like I'm in a library.
