I am fan of the wild and I could care less if a sioux player is on the team. If he can play that's all that matters .I agree its cool when a player you follow in college makes it to the pros..
-
I have no idea what your problem is I agree with you about sioux players playing for the wild. If they can play who cares what college team they played for or where they are from.
-
Relax Bigsky, That's nice you bleed sioux hockey and your a Wild fan but I was responding to your comment about sioux players playing in Mn would be "a little salt in the wounds". I'm just saying that I don't think any Wild fan in Mn could care less if the Wild have ex- sioux players on their team especially if they are good (Parise, Toews, Stafford)
-
I don't think the majority of Wild fans, me included, could care less if their was some ex-sioux players on the team. I would take Parise, Stafford, Toews in a heartbeat if they wanted to sign with the Wild. They are just great players.

Relax Darell, we just have a different opinion here. I think its inappropriate to make a joke about sandbags ( which is associated to a flood) and you think its funny to make jokes about the subject. As a previous Fargo resident and have family members still living there and you living six blocks from the river I hope you or my family never have to use these sandbags you joke about, regardless if they are stored in Fargo or Grand Forks. Like I said in a previous post I agree with you that Fargo needs to do something about protecting the city and its residents.
-
So, your comment was intended to be a joke, that's why I was asking if you were serious. I hope you don't live by the river or have friends living by the river the next time you make a "joke" about sandbags.
-
Homer, Fyi- I was born and raised in Fargo and still have family living there. Every year when the water rises my family fights the flood just like, in your words, Darrel fights the flood. Your right I do need to chill out, but if you saw a guy (Darrell) put a laughing smiley face behind a comment about sandbags what would you do if you had family living there?
-
I agree, Fargo needs to do something about the flooding but for you to take a cheap shot about storing their sandbags is a real !@#!$ remark.
-
Wow, I hope your kidding since people in Grand Forks know first hand how bad flooding can be.
-
So you don't know the answer either.

Just curious, in the history of their programs, does anyone knows how many UND players have been drafted in the NHL compared to Minnesota and how many of those players played in the NHL?
-
Your right there was probably no video or proof of it so, I saw Lucia shake hands but somebody else said they didn't, that's the way it is.
-
Your right I did not watch Lucia thru the entire handshake line but I did see him shake Frattin and Hextall's hand. I purposely watched Frattin go thru the line to see if anything was going to happen in regards to the hit he put on Wehrs. Hextall happened to be two or three players behind him in the line and they both shook the Gopher players hands and Coach Lucia's hand and his assistants.
-
It's not accurate, I was at the game and saw the handshake. Every player from both sides shook the opposing coaches hand without any incident.
-
Goon, I'm curious why you think Cepis is a punk.
-
I realized it was a joke. I get that you don't like the Gophers and that's fine but we are not talking about a hockey game this is real life and if you want to make jokes about it that's sad. Before you say lighten up consider if this was happening to your family or close friend.

Ripping on a drug addicts family, you must be proud.
-
How has he presumably lost family?
-
I believe he is saying that Badger fans are not as vicious as Sioux fans in regards to the swearing that ocurrs at the arena. He is not referring to the players.

Relax Damstrait (notice I called you by your name, I did not resort to name calling, as in skippy) I'm just responding to your statement that UMN does not have to pay for travel. By your statement it seems that you implied that UMN was the only team that does not pay for travel. As for the announcer, you are entitled to your opinion but I'm not a big fan how Hennen draws out the players last name, again this is my opinion. I agree Minnesota does have an advantage when it comes to travel with fans and cheer teams but if the tourney was held in Milwaukee, Denver, or Omaha would you complain that Wisc, DU and Omaha would have a unfair advantage like you say Minnesota has because it is held in St. Paul?
-
During the final five the top two seaded teams stay at the St.Paul hotel and the other teams stay at another hotel ( used to be the Raddison hotel but not sure what it is called now) so, if Minnesota stays at one of these hotels who pays for the hotel since you say they don't have to pay for any travel? Also, you do realize UND's announcer is one of the announcers during the final five.

I figured out where our friend Jeff Dubay has been
hockey1 replied to Telly33's topic in Men's Hockey
We might have had our differences on hockey topics, but on this topic you and 7>5 are dead right. We are not talking about a hockey team or rivalries, we are talking about a real life situation that he is dealing with. Jeff is a good guy and hopefully he can beat this thing. -
Thanks Goon, I'll take the victory that you admit you cannot be objectice. By the way, I wouldn't use the Golden Choker remark considering your recent history in your past frozen fours.

In the 2009 playoff hockey thread you said that Dave K has to resort to name calling when he loses an argument, so I guess by calling Bucksieve a skippy you lost this argument about being objective.
