  1. Watch the replay again of the handshake, as soon as Blood and Rau shook hands Blood immediately yanked him out of the line. If Rau said something to Blood during the handshake he must be the fasted talker of all time. Like I said before, Blood pulled Rau out of the line because Rau chirped at him During the game. If Blood had a problem with that then settle it DURING the game. We can go back and forth on this all day but unless you or me or anybody else was next to Rau, Blood, Wheeler or Finley in the line we will never know what really happened.
  2. I can also play this game Goon, I heard from reliable people ( family members ) that no words were exchanged in the handshake line. It had to do with some smack talking that occurred DURING the game.
  3. UND fans, Without proof, are going to say Wheeler mouthed off in the handshake line, Gopher fans ,Without Proof, are going to say he didn't mouth off in the handshake line. So, unless someone has audio of Wheeler mouthing off it's going to be a he said - she said. Who knows why Finley pulled him out of the line, maybe something was said during the game or something else led up to this, most likely will never know. In the end it was an ugly incident that should never have happened.
  4. Do you have audio of this? I'm sure your reply will be " I know of a guy who was on the ice and heard the Gophers running their mouth". Well, I know a guy also and said no such thing happened.
  5. Very much agree with this post. However, will other people agree. Will rival fan bases of Minnesota cheer against the USA because Lucia is the coach or will they Cheer for USA because it is our nation. I seem to remember some posters here were happy when Toews scored on Frazee and could care less about the nation vs nation. I know Toews played for UND and Frazee played for Minnesota but at that game it was Canada vs USA.
  6. Does anyone in the cities know if Sensers will have the games on this weekend.
  7. I heard the two UND flags on the two balcony's was staged. A security guard outside the apartment building told us that ESPN staff members asked permission of the occupants of the apartment room if they could hang the flags on their balcony to get the crowd riled up. That is why when cameras showed a shot of the flags on the big screen screen and the announcers made reference to the crowd about the flags the crowd got all stirred up. The reason why nobody was around the flags was because the apartment room was filled with NDSU fans and every time they came out on the balcony they were getting screamed at to take it down, so the people quit coming out on the balcony because of all the crap they were getting by the crowd.
  8. Ouch Rick, Mariucci just put you in a box with the rings comeback.
  9. Wouldn't non Bemidji State ticket holders be able buy tickets today if they knew the code. I can't see how ticketmaster would know if you are a BSU season ticket holder or not.
  10. Bemidji State is having a pre-sale for tickets this friday, does anyone know the code for this sale?
  11. Besides Professional sports, cities like Fargo, Grand Forks, St.Cloud, etc have pretty much the same activiies that Minneapolis has, just not the quantity. If you would move these cities to Minneapolis / St. Paul they would be your typical suberb there. People in the twin cities don't realize that if Fargo was 75ft to the east (approx. width of the red river) it would be in Minnesota thus making it the 3rd largest city in the state.
  12. Ok, I'll bite. You might want to ask all the UND alumni living in Fargo why they moved there.
  13. Since you like to use the word fact so much, here is a fact: In sports that both schools compete in NDSU has won 22 National Championships compared to 4 National Championships that UND has. Even if you include the 7 titles UND'S hockey team has ( a sport NDSU doesn't even have) NDSU still has 11 more National titles than UND has. Not too bad for a Agriculure, Applied Sciences and Home EC school.
  14. 22>4 Nuff said (22 National tiles for NDSU versus 4 National titles for UND in sports that the two schools compete in). And yes Hayduke, the 7 National titles the UND hockey team is a great accomplishment.
  15. Hayduke, First of all, nice personal attack . Secondly, I'm the one who is defending athletes who compete in their sports and the division they play in, you however are dissing the athletes that don't play in the highest level of a sport the school offers (hockey). I like how you did not answer the question on asking the non hockey athletes that their current Championships or future championships don't matter beacuse they were won in a sport that is not at the highest level.
  16. Would you tell UND'S football team or the Women Basketball team or any non hockey sport at UND that their current Championships they have won or future Championships they might win don't/won't matter because it wasn't won at the highest level. If you do tell them please let me know because I would love to see what they have to say.
  17. Your right Football is the main sport at NDSU just like hockey is the main sport at UND.
  18. 11,000 show up now because they are winning. History shows (early 90's) if they have some bad years the fans stay away. Like I said, Grand Forks, Fargo, Mpls, Chicago, Boston, and every other city are fair weather towns. Chicago is a good example. In the middle 2000's the Blackhawks were playing to half empty stadium crowds because they were not a good team but now since the team is winning the place is packed.
  19. As for Fargo being a frontrunner town, they are no different than any other city. When you win people show up, when you lose people don't. I remember going to UND hockey games in the early 90's and their was maybe 3,000 people at the games which made the arena half full.
  20. Out of curiousity how many overall National titles in all sports does UND have?
  21. You might want to ask the Athletes at UND ( except the hockey players) if they feel the same way you do about not winning Championships at the highest level considering every sport at UND (except hockey) plays at the same level as NDSU.
  22. Patrick Reusse was the sports writer that referred to the Gophers as the "New York Yankees of college hockey" What he said he meant by that was either you like the Gophers or you hate the Gophers just like people feel about the Yankees.
  23. Yeah right, Lucia is chicken of playing UND, a team he has beaten 5 out of the last 7 times they have played
  24. NCAA hockey may have started in 1948 but college hockey started before that. If the NCAA went away and was replaced by another organization does that mean all NCAA records go away?
  25. Does anyone know why in the North Dakota history book the overall win/lost record against Minnesota is 130-137-14 but in the Minnesota record book it shows 130-144-14. Why is there a seven game descrepency?
