Was not sure where to put this question but as part of the NCAA'S sanctions if UND were to keep the Fighting Sioux nickname they could not host playoffs in any sport. Would this include the hockey team not hosting the first round of the WCHA playoffs if they were a top five team in the standings.
-
Give it up GFG, When goon doesn't have an answer he will resort to either name calling ( skippy) or spin the question in another direction. It's too bad because he obviously has some knowledge when it comes to hockey.
-
Why don't you just answer the question instead of avoiding it. I gave snake my answer but would like to know what your answer is.
-
Didn't mean to sound like the question was a rhetorical question, it was just a simple question asked.
-
Atleast you had the balls to answer the question unlike another person ( cough, cough, goon) on this board. Your right, I would want Macwilliam or any other Sioux player to stick up for a teammate just like Helgeson was doing for his teammates.
-
Goon, since your afraid to answer the question, I will ask another Sioux fan the same question. Would you want Ben Blood to stick up for his teammates If an opposing team was taking some cheap shots at some Sioux players? .
-
I'm still waiting for you to answer my original question regarding Ben Blood mixing it up with an opposing player.
-
Out of curiosity, if an opposing team was taking some cheap shots against some Sioux players and Ben Blood had enough of it and started to mix it up with a opposing player, would you be OK with that?
-
I will be the first to admit it was a cheap play if anyone can show evidence it happened. Its just funny Trupp never publically said it in the media.
-
You couldn't find it either, huh?
-
Its funny how you were the only one to see the so`- called spear and not one camera showed it or referee that saw it. Also, I don't remember one sioux player saying it happened. If one did I would like to see the quote or some kind of evidence it happened.

You have some interesting opinions, and your entitled to them, so I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that Minnesota had control of McLeod and the rest of the WCHA.
-
I agree Wisconsin has had Minnesota number in Football ( Basketball and Hockey have been a wash in head to head games) but if Minnesota has been a joke to Wisconsin in " Everything" why has Minnesota beat Wisc in the border battle ( head to head competition in all sports played )for the past three years in a row. If Minnesota had such a strong hold on the WCHA leadership , what does that say about the other members in the league , including UND leadership for letting this happen.
-
OMG, Wasn't aware Minnesota controlled the WCHA website, social media, TV contracts. Yes, Minnesota has a nice TV contract but that was something they set up with the BTN network and FSN just like UND set up their tv contract with FSSN and FSC ( I think that is what it is called) How did Minnesota stop other schools from doing the same thing. McLeod may have been a clown in some peoples eyes but to say Minnesota was pulling his strings is interesting to say the least. I have to hand it to you it is a nice conspiracy theory.
-
You might want to ask your AD about it then. I have been to many away blueline luncheons and the Minnesota rule is brought up from time to time and each AD or coach who is talking at the luncheon says we vote in favor of the rule for the gate revenue. All members in the WCHA share in the final five revenue regardless if they are in the final five or not. I'm not saying this is the right thing to do but for financial reasons it is what they do.
-
Do you mean this same Minnesota Rule at the final 5 that is voted on and approved by all ( except Minnesota who votes against it) WCHA AD'S and coaches.
-
Can you please elaborate on this statement " The WCHA was a league run for and by Minnesota "

Siouxforce 19, You have your opinion and I respect that but I was wondering where you heard that the Gophers don't offer scholarships too early to Minnesota kids? In the Letteri case the Gophers offered Vinny a scholarship in the summer around the same time UND did. UND and the Gophers recruit a lot of the same Minnesota kids that are in their junior and senior years of high school and offer them scholarships around the same time. Which players in past history did the Gophers not offer a scholarship to a player too early because they were arrogant enough to think they can get any Minnesota player they wanted.
-
I agree with your statement, I just think the coaches were alittle more disappointed in not getting Letteri than Siouxforce 19 was considering they offered him a scholorship.
-
I'm sure the coaches are "disappointed" since the kid has had a scholorship offer since the summer.
-
Does anyone know who is calling the shots on deciding what schools are to be invited into the NCHC conference. With no commissioner as of right now, who is deciding these factors.
-
Remember 7>5 is the one who made the comment "they treat fans the best in their home arena" He has his opinion but he also is not an opposing fan in his home arena.

I am fan of the wild and I could care less if a sioux player is on the team. If he can play that's all that matters .I agree its cool when a player you follow in college makes it to the pros..
-
I have no idea what your problem is I agree with you about sioux players playing for the wild. If they can play who cares what college team they played for or where they are from.
-
Relax Bigsky, That's nice you bleed sioux hockey and your a Wild fan but I was responding to your comment about sioux players playing in Mn would be "a little salt in the wounds". I'm just saying that I don't think any Wild fan in Mn could care less if the Wild have ex- sioux players on their team especially if they are good (Parise, Toews, Stafford)
