  1. Finally got one on net during a 3 on 2.
  2. It looked like the better play would have been to shoot the puck and grind for a rebound. They haven't been doing that much lately.

  6. There's a common Dean-ominator for idiocy on this board, too. I suggest you stick to watching the women's game.
  7. Boy, the league sure is on a roll getting things right AFTER THE FACT!! Since everything's being reviewed these days, maybe they should take two points away from DU in the standings and give one to SCSU and one to UW.
  8. They should be reviewing why Radke and Testwuide weren't given the gate for their obvious agreement to drop 'em earlier in the game. If Radke was such a bad culprit, why didn't they do something about it earlier when they had a chance? The refs were probably trying to protect DU's short bench, I don't know.
  9. Funny, I seem to recall the Sioux starting the 3rd with a 5X3 advantage because Mannino took the extra penalty. I wonder if that had anything to do with the melee? Hmmmmmm... Seems to me there is also something in this "code" that relates to pairing up one-on-one during scrums. If you look at the other penalty-riddled games the Sioux have played this year a lot of this "stuff" has been started by the cute little 2-on-1s the other teams like to start with our guys.

  11. This game should have been a rout.
  12. Are we playing 4 games this weekend? Technically we only have one more game in November...
  13. Lee Goren - he'd kick the can all the way back to Grand Forks, ND.
  14. I have a couple thoughts/questions from this... Most on here believe competition for playing time is good because it motivates players, right? Now, I'm not questioning JPL's motiviation, but is there a chance he could become complacent without another goalie pushing him for playing time? Is Walski good enough to push Lammy for playing time? Again, I'm not questioning JPL's ability to motivate himself or compete, but is there a chance he could lose his "edge?"
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't today mark the one-month "anniversary" of formal practices? Some teams find chemistry right away, some take a little longer. For all we know, CC, Denver, Tech, etc. could be playing their best hockey of the season right now!! You can't take a month's worth of the season and project squat. There is too much inconsistency at this time of the year to make any reasonable deductions. Some teams will get better, some will stay where they are, some will come back down to earth. I see the Sioux in the first category. Some teams run off 20+ game unbeaten streaks in Oct - Jan, only to find themselves playing golf in April. Weekends like these provide ample learning experiences.
  16. Hopefully the offense can get rolling and use the additional space on the bigger ice sheet to their advantage. I'll be looking for the Sioux to play a little tighter defensively and reduce the number of odd-man chances against.
  17. I agree that the number of odd-man rushes the Sioux allowed all weekend was alarming. The difference between Friday and Saturday was that Friday we got off to an early lead and JPL came up with more key saves so it wasn't as noticeable. I'm not sure if it was a result of the D jumping into the play at the wrong time or the Forwards not recognizing the play and dropping back to cover. Regardless, it can be fixed.
  18. How about "Greenheads" with the logo a mallard?
  19. I know the difference between intense play and stupid play. I was only able to listen to the game tonight, but I've seen lots of games over the years, and in general Radke's play falls in the latter category more often than not. If someone is going to muck it up after a tough loss I'm not surprised to hear it's #26. Hopefully this is an opportunity to send a message and he gets things straightened out. I don't know if there's much more to say than that.
  20. Don't confuse intensity with stupidity.
  21. What flame? More like a birthday candle. Need more than one goal.
  22. It's October.
  23. Then that's just plain foolish!
  24. That's why I said they may be short on cooling capacity, not lacking it all together.
  25. You know this because...why? There are two sources for return air to the A/C units - recyled and outside make-up. If it's too humid inside and raining outside the units have to work much harder. Now, one other way to drive the humidity out of the air is to preheat it, then cool it down, but I'm guessing they aren't equipped to do this. Again, the power outages really set them back.
