With each week, a new low comes. This is awful, and not representative of the quality of this fine institution. Mussman needs to be gone after this game, no question in my mind. He has run this once proud program into the ground.

I heard Mussman cut the cables before the game in a self preservation effort since he knows nobody will be at game.

The initial slashes were in an "oh crap this big effer is coming after me" moment from the former gopher.The little spear later on was worse I think, because it wasn't a reflex thing.

Worst loss ever? That would be to something called Sioux Falls, which has put this program in the situation to lose games 55-17 now.

I read that 3 Big Ten teams have never hosted Gameday. U of MN-Twin Cities is, of course, one of them. Indiana, and I forget the other. I hope it goes well downtown on Saturday, great opportunity for the state. Hope to see some UND fans in the background!

What/who is the issue? What are your thoughts on the possible lack of effort by some players and the goofing around on the sidelines during the blowout? Who is responsible?

It better not be some stunt like William H. Macy reprising his Jerry Lundegard role from the movie Fargo! That would be awful for our state.

EXACTLY. This is like all of us getting amped about the UND vs Boise State.......SOCCER game that is coming up/or recently happened. (sorry, no disrespect to the soccer gals, nice win vs NDSU)

The athletes might not be there yet to compete with the top teams in FCS, but it is the lack of discipline, and what appears sometimes to be a lack of effort, that is real troubling. I can buy that "we don't have the needed talent in all areas yet", but damn it! Play smart, hard, and don't be dancing and laughing on the sideline while you are down 30+.

I have been patient, and pumped this football team up around everyone I can. I have defended the team, used all of the reasons (excuses?) that others have mentioned for being patient. I have lost all respect for Mussman, Saturdays performance on the field and his players goofing around the way they did while getting whooped was the last straw for me. I don't know who should replace him, I don't know if it is right to fire a guy this early in the season. All I know is: FIRE MUSSMAN.

Yes, UND football isn't about being mediocre. (Even though they have been in the past few years) It is time for a change I am afraid.....here I go....FIRE MUSSMAN.

I picked Montana in the Big Sky Pickem, but it was hard for me to do that. (I picked SDSU last week) I keep hearing about their QB, and 2 stud RB's. Yes, but what about their D? I will pick UND on here in a shootout, both teams over 34 points.

It's tough when the road squad has a smaller venue, but I still think you will see a good number of UND fans in your building. I am excited for the UND Miami rivalry to start up, should be a good one.

Why fly GF to Denver when I can fly Fargo to Denver for 150-200 less per ticket?
