Nice win today. They outplayed the gophers and had more heart I think. Reichmuth played a solid game too. Nice to see Coach Sandelin and assistant coach Lee Davidson go to Boston.

The 'dogs remind me of the Sioux teams of past. Let's hope they can win. Like I said in an earlier post...GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a frustrating game to watch...Denver did a good job of shutting down the number one offense in the country. They got very lucky at times too. As Gino Gasparini used to say...we didn't get any "puck luck" tonight.

I agree. As the old cliche goes: "A win is a win". I would imagine it is hard to get up for a game against a team everyone says you are going to blow out in front of a small, non-vocal crowd. They did enough to win.

These two announcers were absolutely awful! Paradise choked through sentences all game long. The good thing was that they weren't rooting for one team or another and making little nasty comments about the Sioux like Woog and mainly Mazzacco do.

Good game by Holy Cross. I can't believe the goalie puked on the ice! It looked kind of yellowish, like gatorade. Poor kid. The announcers said he had been battling the stomach flu. He had an excellent game. On to the West Final!!! GO SIOUX!!!

Sioux are clearly playing down to Holy Cross' level. They seemed to pick it up at times in that second period. I have to say I am surprised at Holy Cross' effort. They keep coming, and whenever they get in trouble they ice it...they are doing everything they need to do and are getting some good luck bounces too.

I have noticed the Crusaders are getting a lot of press out east. The game is TOMORROW!!! I haven't heard much about this weekend, people are still dwelling on last weekend. Nobody knows anything about Holy Cross. Anything can happen in the playoffs, I hope Coach Blais has prepared the boys well. I predict the Sioux will win easy. I ran into many nice, but also many very very bad Gopher Fans. We were walking down towards Tom Reid's after the Friday afternoon Sioux game and every now and then a Gopher fan would pass by and say something like "Sioux suck". One young man, in his 20's with a gopher jersey on walked by a bunch of us Sioux fans and yelled: "F--- the Sioux, the Sioux can suck my left n--!" I commented loudly on what classy fans the Gophers have. Before, during and after the Sioux Gopher game we were taunted. After the game was the worst, as all kinds of people, men, women (and children!) made their remarks...there were some good fans who shook our hands and said what a game it was too...but they were in the minority. I think a lot of these fans were pretty drunk. Bottom line: The Gopher fans showed us all what a huge, maybe unexpected win it was for them. Their anger towards the Sioux and their fans can actually be taken as a huge compliment. They know we are the team to beat and the most storied program in college hockey...and base their hatred on that. Agree???

Did you see the "Goldy" hanging from the hockey stick? It was blindfolded and had its hands tied, beautiful!!!

Comment a bit more about the fan getting thrown out the window at Tom Reid's...some details. I knew I should have gone there!

Some of those old signs are classics...I like the Gopher series signs the best. Are you passing out your signs to "volunteers" in seats close to the ice???

It's probably refreshing for Gopher fans to finally see a positive article about their fifth place team.

I think Parise will win it. Bochenski deserves to be in the final three, but that will not happen. Imagine what the east coasters would say about that! I'd trade the McNaughton, Broadmoor and Hobey for a "number 8", as would all the Sioux players.

There are a heckuva lot of UND fans in Minnesota, namely the northern part of the state...Minnesota means ALL of the state, not just the metro area. Why televise the thursday game with teams from Alaska and Colorado? It's too bad folks won't be able to watch the Sioux game, they will have to wait for Saturday night when we hopefully face the Gophers and beat their cake-eater butts!

From Doug Spencer of the WCHA: Thanks for your note... we have not televised the Friday afternoon game in recent years as Fox has had numerous commitments during that block of time... there is an opportunity, however, for the two competing schools in that game to work out a TV feed of the game - that will be up to them. Doug.

I will also be at all Final Five games, but want to help out those who can't make it.
