I definitely have the most fun in Madison. They have a great student section and they are allowed to do whatever they want. Their goal horn is very loud and gets the crowd very excited. I have always ended up by at least one good hockey fan that I have an interesting conversation with. There are also several nice people that just like to talk to you about ND or the REA. There have been a few fans that through out some comments, but it has never been anything close to a physical thing. Sioux fans are also all nice to each other there, which doesn't seem to happen at REA. I even had a Gopher fan come up to me one year and say that he was probably hated more than I was. If a Gopher fan is making a trip from Minneapolis to see UND/UW, it tells you how fun the Kohl Center is.

My guess is that Kupchella wants to be the coach and redefine what wearing a "sweater" is.

What else is he going to do? There won't be an NHL season.

I don't understand why Blais would leave now for Columbus when he could have had the head coach position a few years ago. Why leave for an assistant job? Especially with what he could have done this year with UND and the WJ's. Wasn't it just last year that there was a big deal made about his contract with UND?

There were rumors that Ralph was trying to keep the some of the American Indian tribes happy so that he could work out a casino deal with them in the Grand Forks area. I don't know if there is any legal way that, or the current situation, could happen.

I think it is personal choice on whether he should have told Vanek he would be better off in college for at least another year. What I don't get is why Lucia acted like Vanek was great when he was playing there. Why didn't he ever call him out for being inconsistent and defensively-deficient? Why bother to do it, however subtle it is, when it doesn't matter?
