  1. The Hunter Biden scandal is so absurd even Tucker Carlson is no longer playing. Me thinks he had a long talk with a Fox News attorney and realized there will be consequences for continuing to fabricate the story. That, or it finally dawned on him he's turned into the laughing stock of cable TV for promoting it.
  2. Yes, this is the heart of the issue. Who knows what is happening behind the scenes. That said, on the PR front, this entire mess could've been mitigated by Miller’s side if they put more effort into publicly making amends. It isn’t difficult. Personally apologize to the victim and his family, volunteer at every opportunity, be outspoken about the issue, set up a foundation, be thoroughly transparent and upfront about Mitchell's actions. These things can be easily verified and corroborated. Yet all we have from Miller's side are a handful of letters claiming he's rehabilitated by doing the minimum. Now I don’t expect some teenager to have the wherewithal to navigate the PR aspect, but his parents should have....especially when your son has a god given talent most kids can only dream of.
  3. Two minutes for embellishment on your part. Weatherby's parents were deeply involved in the civil rights movement, and by all accounts he was engulfed in this ethos from a young age. Of course Weatherby is no race expert; however he's probably far more knowledgeable and aware of racial issues than his hockey playing peers.
  4. Speaking of non-existent damning evidence, what’s up with Hillary’s emails? Earlier this month Trump said he was gonna declassify them and reveal the “biggest crime ever!” Perhaps they were lost in the mail too.
  5. Only the tinfoil hat people are still hanging on to it. The Wall Street Journal and Fox News have both reported finding no evidence that former Vice President Joe Biden benefited from the Hunter Biden business dealings that have drawn scrutiny. More explicitly pro-Trump media outlets — OAN, Breitbart, Newsmax — have mostly shied away from publishing fresher, more salacious allegations. And conservative talking heads — pundits, politicians and loud MAGA Twitter personalities alike — have been more focused on the meta narrative around the laptop, arguing that mainstream media, social media companies and the deep state are conspiring to prevent President Donald Trump’s reelection by suppressing the story. https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/10/28/trump-conspiracy-theoryhunter-biden-433131?__twitter_impression=true
  6. Gimme a break. The Right whined like toddlers when Obama won. Heck, a large contingent refused to accept he was even a US citizen. And don’t get me started on those right wing religious nutcases. Fire and brimstone were gonna rain down from the skies after Obama was elected!!!
  7. Wait a second here. So she's claiming Miller was still taunting the kid as of 2 years ago? That's 2 years after his conviction. If that's the case, drop him. Miller needs to go. That said, it's odd that such actions wouldn't be in violation of probation or no-contact orders that would've undoubtedly been issued. My, my, such drama.
  8. Nah, the Trump Trash will thoroughly meltdown if Biden wins. They take their cue from President Cheeto, who puts on the biggest crybaby "poor me, I'm treated so unfairly" act in American history.
  9. The GOP complaining about corruption is amusing.
  10. Those D pairings look nice. But I'd do this with the forwards: Kawaguchi – Adams – Mismash Gaber – Pinto – Caulfield Blaisdell – Weatherby – Budy Hain – Senden – Ness Or maybe switch Mismash and Caulfield for a little more balance.
  11. Trump's expression when Netanyahu says "from anyone in America" is hilarious. What a manchild. Tick tock.....
  12. In most states courts have the right to open juvenile records and/or proceedings to the public/media if public interest outweighs privacy issues. This looks to be the case here; I'm guessing out of community parental concerns, school safety, etc.
  13. From what I understand, voter info (who voted) is of public record down there. How they voted will not be tallied until election day. Obviously, predictions can be made predicated on demographic voting patterns and polls of people who already voted. That said, I'm inclined to think Trump holds on to Georgia. Nonetheless the fact that Georgia (and Texas for that matter) is in play for the Democrats is pretty crazy.
  14. FiveThirtyEight now giving Biden the lead in Georgia. Corresponds to the mass turn-out. Georgia’s legacy of voter suppression is driving historic Black turnout https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/26/georgia-voter-suppression-black-turnout-432405
  15. Nice. Looks like we're headed for a historic turnout. With a week to go 66 million early ballots have already been cast, which is roughly 48% of the total votes counted in the 2016 election.
  16. Miller’s parents should shoulder more responsibility for this mess, both for the bullying and the public relations. A 14 year old understands right and wrong, but can’t always comprehend the true depth and ramifications of his/her actions. That’s why bullying is most prevalent and severe at this age; and why parents/schools need to step in when fun goes beyond the typical chirping of 14 year olds. Bullies, even severe ones, aren’t innately bad kids. They act out for a variety of reasons. So this begs the question. Where were his parents when he was beating up a handicapped kid for years? You can’t tell me there were no warning signs. Why didn’t his parents demand he personally apologize? This would be the 1st thing any responsible parent would demand. Then again, any 18 year old with a conscious would do it on his own. Kids are products of their environment. People often change as they mature and are exposed to different ways of life beyond the worldview of their youth. Going to UND, with the responsibilities and lessons that go with it, could be immensely beneficial for Miller. I trust that Berry has done his due diligence. I’m willing to give Miller a second chance; albeit one on an exceedingly short leash. That said, both parties thoroughly botched it on the public relations front.
  17. The only discrepancy is that Trump still falsely blames Obama. Nowhere in that 9 second video is Obama/Biden even mentioned. Trump has often said that Obama had a hand in the FBI's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election. The FBI operation, called Crossfire Hurricane, targeted four men within the Trump campaign orbit, including campaign manager Paul Manafort and national security adviser Michael Flynn. That FBI investigation itself has been the subject of investigations by the Justice Department and Congress. Not one found that Obama initiated or meddled in the FBI's work. Not one concluded that the FBI lacked good reason to launch the investigation. https://www.statesman.com/news/20200824/fact-check-did-obama-spy-on-trumprsquos-campaign-get-caught%3ftemplate=ampart
  18. Yep. That's why state polls are just as important as national ones, even more so.
  19. Read the link Nodak78 posted. I'm using the numbers from that.
  20. Even with that shift, 80% of younger blacks are still voting Biden; as are 65% of younger Hispanics. That's NOT good news for Trump, particularly considering these demographics didn't turn-out en masse 4 years ago. And that's on top of (as the link you posted stated) Trump is losing the white vote. And you think this is a good sign for Trump?
  21. Unfortunately for the fringe right, these unproven/conspiracy theories aren't gaining traction. FOX News isn't even touching most of it. Perhaps you nutcases can push cannibalism next. I heard somewhere the Bidens eat human flesh, at the stroke of midnight, under a full moon!
  22. This is quite interesting, and likely why the FBI is moving very slowly with the contents of the laptop: One of Rudy's key associates is claiming Hunter’s emails and photos were being shopped around Ukraine in early 2019. This validates TIME’s article of last week that details the same, only with other sources. Giuliani was on a mission to get his hands on the materials while other actors in Ukraine were trying to profit from them. Does this mean Hunter's documents are fake? Not exactly. But where did these emails originate? Were they hacked? Russian disinformation? The FBI knows as well as anybody that establishing provenance is exceedingly important in ascertaining validity, particularly with so much falsification and disinformation out there. I mean even the biggest idiot knows the "Hunter left his laptop at a repair store" story made no sense. It was a means to introduce these emails into the public sphere for political purposes. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/24/hunter-biden-hard-drive-lev-parnas-432108 https://time.com/5902557/hunter-biden-rudy-giuliani-ukraine/
  23. China didn’t release the video. The video was uploaded to some Chinese media site that is a subsidiary of GTV Media Group, the American company founded by Steve Bannon and a Chinese dissident. This is the same company currently under investigation by the FBI and SEC for scamming Trump donors out of $300 million.
