  1. CC board says it's because of a rule where you need to be signed before the trade deadline to play in the playoffs. So, he is not eligible.
  2. Vintage Sejna - roofs the rebound on the PP. Believe he was #15, Goon. Don't know why it's one game and out for him, but announcers said it's the only game he'll play with the Blues this year. Must be down for the playoffs. Announcers need some practice - called him Sedge-na to start with, then changed and stuck with sen-yuh. Flipping channels, Bayda played great and scored the only goal for the Hurricanes today, but they still lost 2-1. Wondered where Defau (sp?) was, but he was also mentioned, out with a hip injury.

I've seen him play once, in high school. Very small, but obviously the best dman on the ice at that level (which wasn't a good indicator, they were playing Minot). Noone got by him, and he usually planted them on their backside when they tried. Surprisingly strong for his size, and very solid on his skates (again, considering the level of play). Was also very good at handling and moving the puck. He was the strength of the GF team at the game I saw, imo. I think he would have been a frosh or soph in HS at the time. Long jump to DI college, obviously.
  4. Quite a pair. Appears that yellowdog has found it, so it's only a matter of time.
  5. Much as I'm tempted to post the url and let you and yellowdog combine to turn that board into a total mess, can't bring myself to do so. Use ur considrabal kybrd skills and sersh fr teh site.
  6. What? Are you saying he dropped the gloves vs. Domi? The two teams haven't even played lately.
  7. Appears Sejna signed with the Blues and will be playing for them this afternoon vs. the Avs. ESPN has the game listed at 2PM CDT.
  8. Nice award. But then he was scratched from the Isles/Thrashers game yesterday for undisclosed reasons???
  9. How 'bout that; a Handy and Hammy tag team match on the Sioux board. You guys are great. Why come whining here. Go back to where you are used to doing it.
  10. Maybe I missed something, but wasn't Leopold sent to NJ or the Rangers as part of a trade that sent Commie and/or Mottau to Calgary?
  11. Strange that so many new gopher posters have shown up here since the Gophers made the FF, and the Sioux were eliminated. Maybe it's the Sioux Board thread that so many are posting on at POI???
  12. You could either learn html, or click the "quote" button.
  13. I'd almost forgotten, and you had to remind me. Because of that pinch, I've always thought he was poor defensively. It was a glaringly bad pinch, you could see it was bad and that the odd man rush was coming well before Mich cleared the blue line in their own end. I remember screaming at the TV well before the puck (and Michigan players) made it through the neutral zone. I got a lot of crap from Sioux fans (don't remember where) suggesting that the Sioux needed a smart defenseman like Lidtke (sp??) on the blue line (a solid stay at homer). Have no idea how Lidtke played over his Sioux career, but he was sure good (defensively) in the 97 FF.
  14. Would be nice to see a Roger junior in green. And yes, he really was a good guy. Didn't have to worry about him wanting to start a fight in the hallways during a dorm party like some of the scholarship athletes (although I'd guess that was more a football player thing-Joppru). These guys didn't play on a very good team in the final Bjorkman years, but several were good players nonetheless.
  15. Very nice numbers for Schneider. And defensively, much more solid than Ballard, as well as former Sioux offensive defensemen of the past few years (hard to match Patrick). I think the Sioux have what they need at defense, especially if D. Hale comes back for his senior year.
  16. I asked that a while back because I knew Roger at school. Not so, however, he is the son of Jean Pierre Lamoureaux, a backup goaltender (on two championship teams), 1979-1982. Backup to Iwabucci, Jensen??, Casey?? (80) and Jensen, Casey (82).

Close, but it's Martinello, only to be outdone, at times, by Dewey (Markus).
  18. I agree, Sic. Two glaringly bad giveaways in rapid succession. Excellent save on the first giveaway, directing the puck exactly where it should have been to a Sioux player in the corner. Not sure who that player was but that backhanded blind "pass" from the corner back toward the net (and right to an FSU player) was supposed to be to whom? Looked more like an offensive pass than a defensive one; wonder if the Sioux player forgot what end of the ice he was in. Bad timing when the Sioux were trying to come back, but hardly Siembeda's doing.

    Frozen 4

There is noone here in my "want" to win list. Would be happier to see Maine or CC on the list (Michigan's victims).

I'd like to see this board run like the CC board. Flamers are sent packing immediately. If you like fights (arguments), go to POI or USCHO, where it is the normal way of doing things.
  21. Too late; already convicted.

    Go CC

    If you didn't hear it, UNH/Cornell at 11AM. Mich/MN at 5PM, April 10 on ESPN2.

    Go CC

It's on several of the Fox regional sports channels (NESN, Sunshine, maybe FOXD??). Have been flipping back and forth between the Cornell/BC OT and the CC/Mich game. Cornell is so big and slow the flipping makes it look like the ice is a quarter mile long on one channel (Cornell) while only 100 feet on the other (CC)
