    Go CC

Time to take out Michigan at the Yost, then the Gophs in Buffalo, followed by an NCAA championship.
  3. You don't expect Gopher haters to be on this board. Read some POI, there are truckloads of Sioux haters there. Not surprising, and I don't see any Sioux fans on there asking for respect. If you want some here, earn it, otherwise go back to ranting on POI.
  4. I thought this was one place that we didn't have to put up with Hammy's crap. Guess that's not true.
  5. Funny. Between periods the Goph radio guys are already assuming back to back championships, as they are talking about a 3 peat. Wonder who the third "yuh, yuh" guy is in the background.
  6. Appeared that way on TV, although you got there exactly when the defensive swoon began. They'd played fine up to that point, team just couldn't put the puck in the net, brutal PP. The rest of the game prior to the point looked much like the third, like the Sioux were the better team. Give up PP goals while not scoring on the PP or even strength when you are creating chances ends in a loss. The last month or so all thrown together in one game.
  7. I'd guess Ferris will see the Pbox in the first two periods (as well as the third if they are behind). Gophers need to score on the PP, then the game will be over. Wonder how they'll respond to the cheap stick work behind the play. The Sioux didn't respond particularly well, but all it takes is scoring on the PP. The Wooger was astounded by the stick work going on behind the play. Although you couldn't see it on TV, they made it sound like something they have never seen before. Obviously we're not used to seeing it in the WCHA. Woogers play of the game; the noncall on the Smith cheap shot from behind on Lundblom (Wooger's pronunciation) that was not called and would have given the Sioux a 5 on 3 (Should have been a DQ, which would have meant the gophs woudn't have to put up with Smith's antics tonight). Would the Sioux have scored 5 on 3?
  8. After watching the same goalies that look like world beaters vs. the Sioux give up goals to other teams, I've come to one conclusion. It's not the goalies
  9. Put in the POI Not so sure it's good for any team to get an opponent that weak in the tourney. Guess we'll see if the disinterest due to opponent carries into tonight. This team did get beat by Canisius. Brutal.
  10. So what's up with no TV coverage on FOXN of the Gophs/Ferris game. Would like to see how the game is called when the hacking starts.
  11. Got to add, great game by Prpich and McMahon. Need a few more of those gritty Canadians, they played great. Also thanks for the four years Spiewak, Notermann, and Leinweber; would have nice to send you guys on after a better team effort, but we've enjoyed watching you play.
  12. Haven't seen the Sioux, just listened, during this swoon, until tonight. Defense was not good, lots of oddman rushes. And the offense cannot find the net-three more pipes. Ferris had a real ugly prevent in the third but couldn't find the net for the most part again, and two quick defensive turnovers make it 4-1 (great save by Siembeda on the first giveaway). Got beat on special teams; 2 PP goals for Ferris, a terrible PP by the Sioux.
  13. What a brutal PP. Ferris playing a real passive PK, but the Sioux content to pass the puck back and forth at the blue line while a couple forwards stand still down low. Then the odd man rushes given up in bunches. They don't look like they belong in the tourney. Lucky they don't have to play MN. Maybe I'll change my mind if they have any fire in the third, but the second was ugly.
  14. Lots of hitting by the Sioux to start the game, and one penalty killed. Sounds like Parise line has had some room thus far; no mugging.
  15. You better get to your seat in Marriucci, not long until game time.
  16. The pregame has begun.
  17. Don't know who the author was, but seems like a good time to resurrect the 2000 championship poem.
  18. What do you mean, rocks.
  19. On FOXN, possibly. The championship game is not in the FOXN schedule at all right now, but Mankato-Cornell at 11AM Saturday is, as well as Maine-Michigan, scheduled on FOXN from 2:30-5:00PM.
  20. FOXN has college hockey scheduled from 2:30-5:00 PM Central on Saturday. That would be the Maine-Michigan game. Hard to believe they would delay the Gopher game but it may be true. Unbelievably, for just $12 I can watch NASCAR for an hour today on not less than 18 FOX stations, while I wait for the delayed Sioux feed. Find it odd that midco has clearance but has chosen not to show this game on the entire midco network, not that it helps me one way or the other.
  21. Same feed. Just so the server is not shut down at the U.
  22. Close

  24. Whoops. The Mozz rug has fallen off
  25. The directtv schedule for FOXN now has been changed from "paid programming" to Nascar, 54321, and YOu gotta see this. Even the 7:30PM Gopher start time shows "to be announced."
