  1. No problem; all pheasants are essentially the same, and, although you see lots of articles declaring how "smart" they are, they really aren't, their running and flushing wild habits just can make them tough to track down and get close enough. But the pea brain inside that head is still just that. I love those wild roosters out here that get trained early by non residents that can't hit anything. They learn that sitting tight is safe, since they can then fly away from a person unscathed. Makes for more late season birds for the rest of us, without having to run them down.
  2. Watch the video stream of the US Open Tiger/Rocco playoff. http://www.usopen.com/en_US/console/consol...x.html&alt=
  3. Let him in the house, and you can pick up what he knocks down and breaks with his tail.
  4. Second hand smoke is the thing that keeps me from bars. Absolutely cannot stand smoke hangovers, and those occur in some nasty places without having a drink.
  5. I don't think any, or at least most, here have been ripping the kid, but rather, have been ripping the apparent manipulation by the father. When I ripped the kid early in another thread it was mostly knee-jerk, and was more since I thought the father was living throuugh the kid, and by a fan ripping the kid I was getting back at the father. It's over, the kids only 15, and we've moved on. No further discussion from me.
  6. I agree, although his quotes are again vague; may well be true they didn't use the NCAA to leverage more money(which appears is all he says in the quote), however, it doesn't say he did or didn't use it to get to the team he wanted to play for; the old man is still being vague about the truth. Since the Clarke's know the Lewiston coach, as he apparently coached the kid when he was younger, it's probably the one place the kid and his family wanted him to go, and the NCAA commitment was used as leverage to get there. The father's quotes never address that. At any rate, he is only 15, and we have no idea if highly touted now means a good college player or not. We'll never know, and we can look forward to another Sioux recruit to fill that spot in the future.
  7. Can't be too many better junior coach's to play for and develop into a D1 college player than under Blais. Clarke's loss will be another player's gain, as it makes room for someone else. It will be interesting to see how quickly Fargo becomes one of the best USHL teams.
  8. The rumors that were created and spread via gpl (Beaverson and Fats Fornier as well as Siembeda) and uscho were likely far from the truth, but, to opponent fans, rumors become truths with no factual basis (right, Cardinal?)
  9. Perfect song for the background of a Berenson press conference
  10. I can handle Cardinal's argument, but the substance, that facts never get in the way over here, is more than a little much for me; take a look at your own home site, there, skippie
  11. Agreed, Chuck, as far as a 15 year old kid goes. I do question the integrity of the parent, however.
  12. No problem with a kid changing his mind, but this does not appear to be the case; the ushl/college commitment was a simple sham orchestrated by the father, it would appear.
  13. I'd guess you're right; funny how his dad also announced he wouldn't be at the draft (since he was going the ushl/college route), but he appears from the Zamboni tunnel when his name gets called. I'd love to see a flame out, and him in a Manitoba Bisons uni playing against the Sioiux in the annual warm up game.
  14. Sounds like Blais and Hakstal should feel "used". Chuck was closer than I thought. Also interesting that the top two picks played for Notre Dame of the SJHL last season. The Sioux have had lots of recruits from that program, Kaip being the most recent, I believe (many from the early 80's teams played there).
  15. Discussion is here: http://forum.siouxsports.com/index.php?sho...767&st=4580 He verbally committed to the Fargo Force and the Sioux. The commitment could just as well have dropped him in the major junior draft as those teams want assurances that a first round pick will show up. They may have had that with Clarke.
  16. You're beating that Jack Johnson link to death as proof of your argument. Red has repeatedly whined about players leaving early. Here's one of his more toned down quotes when he was happy about being headed to the FF this spring.
  17. Another to the ignore list; should have put him/her there in the first place.
  18. And, the same person that nukes users, deletes post, etc over there comes over here with bs like
  19. True, the Sioux D got caught cheating game after game all year long, and never paid for it as Lamoureau saved their arses over and over again, until, his luck ran out against BC.
  20. I agree, Rick, his whiffs vs. BC were totally uncharacteristic of the year he had, and getting him back as a senior would be huge for the Sioux. His whiffs vs. BC would not have stuck out nearly as much (or may not have happened), if his defensive partner hadn't disappeared totally from the TV picture well prior to BC forwards getting into the Sioux end.
  21. The difference is, Red makes a public spectacle of his feelings on kids leaving too early, Hak has not. You show me where Hak has complained publicly about one of his players leaving too early. We hate gophers, your board hates sioux. Tell me how it is different on your anti-sioux board. You won't change us, we won't change you, if antigopherhism bothers you, don't come here. You can be sure I won't make the type of posts you're making here over on gpl. I'd have been banned over there long ago.
  22. Did you arrive to try and be a jerk today? We remember the quote, concerning Jack Johnson; Red has also been quoted in the past as being very angry over players leaving early, saying that they were not ready. I remember it well, but won't bother to look for the article where it was "quoted". Good luck, Taylor; we'll be looking for you lined up alongside Matt Greene next fall.
  23. Songs from the Wood
  24. Unreal, under the new CBA, how many all star, high priced players the RWs have kept; seems that no other team has been able to do this under the salary cap. Must be some creative financing going on there. Other teams need to steal that model, whatever it is.
  25. And some take more interest in being message board trolls; by "our fans" you are saying "gopher fans" then?
