No doubt changes after this weekend, but appearances are that Denver has lost their way into a better bracket than the Sioux. Would like to see all the cupcake hockey association have to get by both CC and UND, without one (CC or UND) having to beat the other in a regional game. One thing the committee does not have to worry about is attendance based on where the Sioux are placed, since Sioux fans show up anywhere Although it would seem CC, Denver, and Air Force all in Colorado would look ideal.

Right, just like Demarchi; tough as hell when someone's back is facing him.

Can't make a conspiracy theory either, having seen only portions of the games, but the hooking, holding, and interference that went on while I watched, with no calls, was outrageous, and eliminated lots of scoring chances, many of which (or one of which in OT) may have produced a goal or goals, in spite of the good play of the goalies. The worst of the infractions however, the nasty checks from behind, that went uncalled, were serious injuries waiting to happen. If Bickel does not start getting called for these soon, he will break someone's neck.

Stuff like this is the primary reason fighting should be allowed without the stiff suspension penalties. Going looking for someone to cheap shot since that doesn't get you a suspension (and may get you nothing the way this game, and most games are called), creates situations where players will get hurt. It's obvious the Shepturd group isn't going to handle it by making the calls that should be made.

I gave Notre Dame two losses, had Michigan, UNH, Harvard, and CC winning autobids, and still only get Wisco tied for 14 with Notre Dame, but losing the RPI tiebreaker (if that is the tiebreaker), so, still not in. Must have to follow Milewski's scenario exactly.

But it makes for such a great game to watch, the Gophs in a "meaningless" game

teams in the CCHA (other than Mich or Miami) and HE (other than UNH or BC) still have a chance to take up one or two more slots. Seems like this is the biggest mess the pairwise has been in ever at this point of the season.

If anyone but Thul gets the Sioux/Denver game (would guess that we won't see Thul in any FF game), expect the tackling Pios to show up. Sioux may want to dress four o-lineman, send them in with Oshie in the backfield, and see if they can create a hole for Oshie to get to the net before being tackled. Would a goal then be worth 1 or 6?

You are the committee is now up if you want to play.

Since the REA is set up to uplink to satellite, one would think it would continue no matter who gets the broadcast contract. Would be odd if it was someone other than WDAZ.
-
WCHA is being shown on both FSN North and FS Rocky Mountain. The other conference tourneys are also on a variety of Fox Sports stations, so record away. The games already appear in the dishnetwork program schedule, so they are available to set up the dvr already.

I only saw a portion of overtime 1, but during that time, saw several out right tackles in front of the net (interference), total wrap-ups (holds along the boards and in the corners), and at least one vicious hit from behind. I can't agree with the no calls let the players decide it scenario when it gets this bad. On the other hand, the no calls were much the same during the first three periods of each game, so it wasn't much of a change, other than the players taking more and more liberties as the games went on, since it was allowed. A horrible game to watch and has to be a terrible way for the players to have to play the game. Also odd that there is supposedly a rule that when a series goes three games, the referee is changed, yet in this game the change was not made. Since Thul wasn't given game 3 in the REA, he should have been sent over to replace Shep, to clean up that mess and avoid a possible broken neck.

One good reason, defensive holding becomes legal, very helpful for the Tech defense.
-
Two good bounces for Tech on the shorty and the PPG in OT. I don't like their 2 PPGoals coming after Sioux offensive zone penalties, however. By that late in the second game, you should know Thul is making the calls, keep the stick down and move your feet. 1, 3, and 5 move on; 2 and 4 have to play Sunday night.

SCSU Wisco 3-3 Denver MDU 0-0 UAA 1 CC 0 MN 1 Mankato 0 BU upset by Lowell tonight also; think that might help the lower WCHA seeds.

Like watching a game called by an NHL ref; why can't it always be called this way?
-
Sure, KU band from the satellite, Galaxy 26, at 93 degrees west; frequency 12014, polarity Vertical, symbol rate 4872. Better start the dish installation soon, only a few hours to go For me, that's channel 5 on G26, but, you may scan it in to another channel number.

Believe Bismarck has midcontinent cable, so yes, on cable tv. Looks like channel 39.
-
If we could dump some WCHA teams, and add CCHA and EZAC teams, the regionals would all appear more favorable.
-
Seems like UNH got the best draw in that speculation.
-
We're not sure; seems it happened during the elevator urination thread's time, but maybe it was something else.

Much more bickering on USCHO than here And it's easily ignored here, unless one is prone to bickering. Guess one can easily get their message board fix, though, in either place.

Haven't yet figured out if this is a REA suite, and Excel suite, or a Pepsi Center suite.
