  1. For those that have directtv/dish sports paks, you can find lots of high school and college sports (including basketball, football, and hockey), whenever the networks regional pro teams (NBA/NHL) do not fill the slot. So, while I don't see a lot of interest in midco sports net high school sports nationally, it's really not much different than the other regional networks that they provide, except that most have a professional sports footprint as well. It would still seem that if Sioux fans demand midco sports net be added to satellite or cable networks, or, they let those providers know they will be dropping the service for something else if they don't, that will improve the chances of midco sports net being added. I hate posting this stuff since I'm PO'ed at losing FTA, but, I will find some way to watch Sioux hockey, whatever that may be.
  2. None are shown on dish; not a part of any dish package, dish has never had, in the past nor the present, fcs channels. No contract with directtv, not now nor in the past, they just chose to pick up Sioux hockey through this year, but, as others have posted, they don't pick up all home games. Tonight is one of those they will not show. Next year CBSSports and midco have total control, and FCS is done for Sioux hockey. The only hope for satellite TV next year is that Dish/Directv add midco sports net to their sports pak add-ons. Redneck is right, most cable co's have the three fcs channels as part of their digital packages. Again, after this weekend, that will not help anyway, for satellite or non-midco cable, unless those cable co's/satellite TV providers add midco sports net, as well as CBSSports. Dish/directtv need to know that not adding midco sports net is a dealbreaker for you, either they do it, or we drop the service for something else.
  3. I"ve been to one series a year, plus sometimes the playoff series as well, 2 of the last 3 final fives, and I've not seen the Sioux lose (in person) since they were swept at home by Denver in 2005. I don't intend to see another loss in St. Paul this year.
  4. How did the shoo get there?
  5. Nine consecutive wins, 4 in OT, inc. the Broadmore and NCAA championship game.
  6. OK, my memory is not so good
  7. Prediction for the Mich Tech playoffs. MTU will play the Wisco/Bemidji game, maybe even to the extent that they wrap up and go for a ride, especially if it's Anderson/Baby Shep in the building, and no matter what pair is there to test if it will be allowed.
  8. Wow, #12 actually, they can't really afford even one loss to UAA.
  9. DU up 3-0 after one. If you're right, it would be as follows (higher seed/last change listed first): Wisco/ Mankato Thursday afternoon Sioux/Denver Thursday night St Cloud/lowest remaining seed Friday afternoon MN/highest remaining seed Friday night
  10. Thanks, couldn't find that anywhere. Don't believe the top 6 seeds will be at the X. If they all do, (and Denver wins today), it will be Sioux/Pios on Thursday night.
  11. May be buried here somewhere, but if Denver wins today as they should, in what order are Denver, Wisco, and Mankato seeded?
  12. Like the bracketology done this morning. Seems like much more balanced regionals, with none looking like an easy path to the FF. http://www.uscho.com...lts-of-march-9/
  13. The game was probably worse than a post game bag skate, given they had to drag Bemidji players around with them for most of the game.
  14. Maine has scored 3 straight and now leads UNH 4-3 with 9 minutes left.
  15. Since you couldn't see, and the play by play guys spent a large part of the game hating on the Sioux while play was going on, you really didn't know what was happening, although they did pause to call a goal after it occurred.
  16. No doubt; the game can be "seen" much better by just listening to TH
  17. If there ever were a couple weekends of games that show MN getting calls, even weak calls, that the Sioux do not, it was last weekend and this one, each against Bemidji. Bemidji simply played well last night, outplayed the gophs through major portions of the game, and did not do the tackling/take downs that they were allowed to do last Saturday. Maybe they will try that tactic and see how it goes tonight, but I doubt they will, because the calls will be made. Those that think the Sioux pissed away a point last Saturday are simply wrong, a multitude of would be scoring chances were eliminated by non calls. If Bemidji gets to to that against the Gophers, Gophers would lose 2 points.
  18. Finally got the webcast half way through the second and didn't see Mankato do much of anything that should have been called. By the sound of the first I guessed they were playing all out tackle hockey like Bemidji last Saturday.
  19. that worked, thanks, terrible picture
  20. Still a black screen on america one for me; I've used this a bunch before without problems. Guess not tonight.
  21. RU seeing anything on the webcast yet?
  22. So what's the score after 2? Web stream is "not available", would guess it's limited and maxed out.
  23. I'm guessing summer sausage, but someone that knows would need to ask L&M. Salami is a very long (36 months) process of fermentation and then drying. Summer sausage can be mixed, stuffed, and smoked immediately, in all flavors of ground beef or ground pork/ground beef combo's. As much as I like grinders, I don't think the reasonable cost could stay as it is if using meats that take that much processing time, which raises costs considerably. There are several sausages called salami that are seasoned, stuffed, smoked and cooked, but those are really only summer sausage as well. Not sure that the sticks that L&M sent out to ND grocery stores are the same as you in GF are buying at the L&M store, but, by comparison, they come no where near the flavor of similar products we make in the smokehouse at the Crosby Supervalu store (comparing our jalapeno cheddar sticks to theirs). I have not had the pleasure of trying the sticks right at the store off the shelves on L&M, however. A very popular item is our ground turkey jalapeno cheddar pepper jack summer sausage. I think I may try that thin sliced on a grinder of my own, using some of the info that others have posted to get the meat/white sauce/hot sauce right.

Probably one of the first time's ever that a student (Knight) that doesn't drink had an alcohol related charge (now dropped) http://www.grandfork...icle/id/258387/
  25. Don't believe there has been a year without one of MN and ND at the final five, was there? Suppose it will be difficult for St. Cloud/Mankato fans to get tickets this year, if they haven't already. Didn't seem to be many St. Cloud, Bemidji, Duluth, Wisco, Denver, UAA, or CC fans there when the Gophers were not there 2 and 3 years ago. Would seem that the NCHC tourney, without ND, might be fairly empty.
