Boy I guess my prediction of "UMD in an upset by 3" really went in the crapper, oh, 8 minutes in I just don't get why UMD feels the need to pass constantly....get a run game going and chew up the clock and keep your defence off the field
-
The only way to see the game is to either -be in Mankato at the big cell phone (Midwest Wireless Civic Center) -Have Charter cable in Southern MN and see it on the "public access" type channel (like the Sioux do) otherwise turn on the radio...
-
nope Mankato has a fibre line from the big phone booth (MWCC) to Charter cable office.
-
ESPN is basically dumping all the stuff to ESPNU to get cable co's to pick it up. There was a near riot in Ohio when last week's Ohio State game was on ESPNU and very few cable companies carry it.
-
Mankato shows their games on local cable just like the Sioux so the only way to see it is to be in person
-
MN is easy...the Big Inflatable Toilet AKA the Metrodome That is one of the reasons. Yeah they're getting a stadium on campus soon but the BIT sucks as a stadium. Until recently, they had the old turf (think like the Vet in Philly). MN hasnt been good in 20 years...yeah they go to bowl games but with 6-5 or 7-4 records? yech.

Bulldogs in an upset by 3 (and no I'm not like that Winona goober talking smack....which oh by the way Bemidji beat them 28-7 I am a Bulldog fan)

Thats because ESPN+ had the rights (FSN showed it). If it was any other game, they probably would have had neutral announcers. But since it was a IA vs. IAA game (and only a few places showed it) we got the announcers that we did old Dickie Homer did the game...he's worse than Ma-Puke-O that does the Goofer games

WOO HOO! New pregame and the songs are back...not the same 30 second loop -
I've seen those people show up at my mom's (they don't come to my house...maybe something to do with the "if you are trying to sell me something, I own a gun and will use it" sign on the front door might scare them away They tried to pursuade me into getting a magazine or something. I told them that I don't want any magazines and to leave. They got all pissy at me and I politelly told them to leave (there were two of them) but slamming the door on them was the best They were still standing there hollering rude stuff at me. The Jehovas are the worst. Had a couple of them just happen to come when I was opening the garage. I told them I was busy and to leave. They stood there. I told them "I'm leaving so move" and as I was climbing in the truck I said (because they were right behind the truck) I have s**t for brakes and started the truck. They quickly moved when I threw it in reverse All door to door solicitors suck! The cable company ones are great. I look at the guy and say "I have 6 satellite dishes. Why the hell would I want cable?"

siouxguy Now I'm thinking they MIGHT show it on FSSN (the beamed up via satellite verison that the FTA'ers can get)....the link posted above (and in the other thread) lists the channels for the cable systems that are carrying it. I checked Polar Communications and the channel matches the FSSN (heck, they list it in the channel guide as FSSN) So maybe, just maybe the FSSN will have the game for the FTA'ers
-
as posted in the other thread (resteraunt thread) FSN North partners with local cable affiliates to broadcast North Dakota-Wisconsin men's hockey series now the question is for those who have cable, is the channel on the list your local FSN or the FSSN? I know Midco is using the same FSSN channel. Reason I ask is if those other channels listed are the channels that you NORMALLY see the Sioux games, then maybe it will be FTA
-
siouxguy The FSSN feed that we can get on FTA wont be beamed up Just the local MidCo area (GF and surrounding areas) can see it. They'll get the feed from FSN North and just plug it into the local channel. so right now the options are CSTV (and its bottom scroller...god I hope they don't have that on there) or FCS Central (or DishNetowrk/DirecTV)
-
siouxguy Its suppose to be on "FCS Central"

Satellite Move for The Fighting Sioux Sports Network
iceberg replied to cheesemover's topic in Men's Hockey
If you have Dish Network or DirecTv you can't get it. The setup is called free to air which consists of a 30" or larger dish, a FTA receiver and a LNB. If you remember the old "big dish" (C-band) it was able to be moved to different satellites in the sky. The new verison is KU Band (30" or larger dish). You aim it at the satellite that the Sioux use to beam up the feed to the cable companies and pick up the signal. The "Feed" is up from 15 minutes before game time (they literally flip a switch and turn the juice on) to about 5 minutes after then **poof** its gone. -
restaurants showing the wisconsin series?
iceberg replied to siouxhockey1101's topic in Men's Hockey
Shouldnt even need the sports package since both satellite companies get the "alternate" channels already even with the regular package. But it doesnt hurt for them to have that extra package
