  1. early game is ACC championship...late game is USC/UCLA
  2. I am being fair. Yes the cameras are set up but lets say DAZ doesn't show the football game. They'll probably use the excuse "oh we couldn't get the crew from GF to Allendale in time" or "we didnt have enough crew to do both games" Maybe they'll get some people from DAY to help with production for one of the games. Believe me, I hope the game is televised.
  3. well you know they have to televise that EXHIBITION game against the Under 18 hockey team Friday so that will probably be their excuse as to why they can't do the football game (if they say they can't)
  4. 1/2 way through the Winona game, WDAZ should have figured out "OK the road game is a sure bet" and should have started planning for the game regardless. Getting transponder space on a satellite isn't that tough. Hell, news crews do it all the time. Do you think they have to wait a couple days when a "big" news item hits? Using the sports theory, Montana Grizzlies televise all their games (via the CBS station in Missoula and all CBS stations in Montana). Usually on Thursday or Friday of the game week they post the satellite coordinates on thier website for the game for alumni parties and fans across the country. So it is possible to get it quickly. Does WDAZ not want to pay for 2 satellite uplinks? (they pay for the FSSN one and they would have to pay for the uplink from Omaha to Grand Forks to insert commercials and the score topper). Something still doesn't sound right.
  5. HUH? The NCAA doesn't have anything to do with this. The local team can have a broadcast crew. These games aren't on CSTV, ESPNU. The rights are held locally.
  6. I thought about this last night while watching the bouncey ball games IF they televise it, who would do the hockey game Saturday? Sweeney could do the Friday game, then boogie down to Omaha with the rest of the production crew to do the FB game, but he couldnt get back in time for Saturday's game. What they should do (IMO) is broadcast the game but do like Anchorage & Fairbanks and some other teams do. Just use the radio broadcast as the audio track. Sure it isn't Sweeney doing the game. But I wouldn't mind the radio guys as the audio. Heck last year when the Sioux were in Duluth for hockey the FSSN had Friday's hockey game, then they went back to GF to do the football game and just used the Duluth broadcast with their announcers for Saturday's game.
  7. zip-zip
  8. yes indeed Had to get the big satellite dish out and peaked for best signal so it works 2 weeks from now
  9. thank a lot now I have to clean pop off my computer after spitting it out reading that. I havent laughed that hard in a while
  10. does the web feed have the same crappy commercials as what I am seeing on the satellite feed? Although that 6 wheel gator vehicle looks cool
  11. big dish (C-Band dish) 6 foot or larger...had to move it in front of my garage to pick up the satellite that they broadcast on
  12. yes UAA's you need a big dish (6 foot or larger) to get it
  13. satellite feed is up GO SIOUX!!
  14. watching color bars right now on the C-Band feed Nice solid 66 signal on the Fortec Its not on KU Band..only C-Band and the internet feed
  15. The feed comes up about 5 minutes before game time on the satellite feed its just color bars. About 5 minutes beforehand it says "up next UAA hockey"
  16. I listened to them for the Wisco game and they are crap. The audio on the satellite feed is REALLY LOUD!! Its the feed from the radio station that carries the games
  17. nope. Pacific time is 2 hours behind us (Cali, Oregon, Washington) Alaska is 3 Hawaii is 4
  18. gotta go move the big dish outside in front of the garage for the feed
  19. yeah its free
  20. Bucky/UMTC is Saturday 6:05 Sunday 5:05 CST
  21. I blind scan a few of the satellites on Friday/Saturday nights. Most channels will use the same satellite for games (UMTC and Bucky like G11 this year) so I start scanning 1/2 hour before game time. Sports feeds are usually on SBS6 (74), AMC5 (79), AMC2 (85), IA8 (89...Sioux satellite) and G11 (91). Saturdays I scan those all the time trying to find games. The Mankato one was a fluke last Friday. havent found any other games yet tonight
  22. according to fightingsioux.com its KFGO 790
  23. good question I sent the coordinates to Cheesemover in an e-mail so hopefully Sensers can pick the games up. Maybe he'll chime in soon
  24. The UAA home games are tape delayed in Anchorage (they want you to go to the game) but if you have a big dish (6 foot or bigger) you can watch them live I'll be recording it and if it works out if you want a copy, let me know. I'm sure we can work something out
  25. it was Denver but what I'm saying is BigGreyAnt said to show it to everyone but GF and Vegas said there were areas outside of GF that get Midco Channel 23. What I was saying was yes it is possible for Midco to show it in specific areas (like they did with the hockey last year and show it only in GF). They probably have the ability to black it out in Grand Forks. Remember when DAZ would show games and Sweeney would say "WDAZ in Devils Lake/Grand Forks and FSSN everywhere else". So it is possibole to do it both ways
