Absolutely the start we needed!

I’m afraid USD is good enough to expose our shortcomings. Tough place for us to play, offense will be less than average today and our defense won’t be able to stop a physical football team. if we get behind early, we lose by double digits. If we are within a TD going into the 4th maybe we will have two shockers in one season. One can only hope….

Big game. Hopefully better than our last trip to Vermillion. I was there and it was an ugly let down. Should have been a win.

If NDSU was still the gorilla , I would agree with “progress”. The gorilla is now the next stop down I29 and they toyed with us. We are playing Bubbaball, which is consistently 5-7 wins, a chunk of heartbreak and a first round exit from the playoffs of the road. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Bubba is a great man, but is a ceiling of 7 wins enough for Grand Forks and UND? Another contract extension will likely give us that answer.

Not a thing of beauty yesterday but a win is a win. Need to split next 2 to make playoff(7-4). That would be my prediction at this point. Lose by 10 in Vermillion and win a squeaker at home. 7-4.

So many big game "debacles" over the last decade on the road.

That is the real question at this point. Is 5-7 wins a season and an occasional playoff appearance enough for the University of North Dakota?

I don't understand the play calling early whatsoever. Why so different than NDSU? Is it because we had the lead vs NDSU and were behind yesterday? Why not run the ball for 5 yards instead of always trying to pass for 5 yards? When Ziebarth left the game, he had 4 rushing attempts for 27 yards...and Tommy was 6-9 for 46 yards. Don't understand the play calling at times. We will all feel better in a week.

4-3 after 7. Indiana State - W @Murray State - Toss Up @South Dakota - L Illinois State - Toss Up 7-4 and a play off spot is still obtainable. Have to win the two toss up game and after yesterday's debacle, Tommy's bad performance and losing Ziebarth, neither will be easy.

Just watched first half on ESPN+. The offense is terrible, especially after ziebarth went down....a thousand ways to throw a swing pass. Tommy looks like a deer in the headlights.

Yep. Its just who we are. Playing anyone other than a cupcake on the road is an instant L for Bubba. Just can't get over the "hump". We did get the Bison monkey off our back and was really hoping last weeks win would give us some juice and get us over the hump. I was at a wedding so I could not watch the game other than on my phone.

Sucks, but I guess now we know. Win all the games we should(7-4) and we will be one and done in the playoffs.

I had hope after last week, because Bubba broke a tendency by beating NDSU. The follow up disaster @UNi was certainly back to the decade of a Bubba ball at UND.
