I still think with some better OC work, the 2021 team was Bubbas best team. In a couple of those losses, the coaching was squarely to blame.

I was wildly wrong on the NDSU game, but in the end was pretty damn close. This team didn't play really well for an entire game after the NDSU game and in fact played many clunkers. As Geaux Sioux said, Bubba has raised the baseline fo rNorth Dakota football but has also reached his ceiling. 5-7 wins and an first round loss is it.

This isn't the first time. Been a pattern over the years.

If not for the NDSU win, Bubba could be on the hot seat with a loss, a 6-5 season and not making the playoffs. The Bison win(the only good win all season) has bought him at least one more season leading the hawks...

We have regressed since the NDSU win or maybe it was just one of those days for NDSU. The offense was pathetic yesterday. Same old swing-passarama . I don't understand our game plan. How easy is it to cover receivers if the refs are letting them hold and we never throw deep?

Unfortunately you are correct. With Bubba in charge, UND will find a way to between 5 and 7 wins, with all but 1 or 2 wins coming at the Alerus Center.

If the game was in Normal, IL, I would say our season will end next Saturday. UND plays great at home, but this will be a tough matchup for us. ISU will be much like UNI. Would love to see Bubba-coached UND get to the next level, I just don't think it will ever happen.

Agree 100%. Saturday is a play in game. Win and we are in and lose and we are 6-5 and one of the first teams left out.
