    I would think all three rfr will be 300 by next season. Kruse already is.

    IMO this was largely due to some poor recruiting, attrition and injuries at the Ilb position. Lost O'Brien, Poole, Rodgers and Larson and then even Disterhaupt for a few games and did not get Hunt back til half the season was over. Those 5 would have made a world of difference in that category. Hard to beat anyone when you cant stop the run right at you. The rest of the ILB's on roster were not ready or will never be ready.

    Lots of stuff for Bubba and Co to improve upon, but to me if they get the culture fixed back to 7-9 wins again in 2018, if they don't we are in the midst of a coaching search a year from now. i think if O'brien and Rodgers don't go down to injury we win another 2-3 games in spite of the culture problems in 2017.

    And UND will never beat NDSU again....blah,blah,blah. Wasn’t that what you were saying about 1990 too? Rocky was flying high and then boom, NDSU was looking up at UND for the next 15 years. Won’t be that many years I’ll be over in Bisonville trolling you. Enjoy it while you can.

    The style of football Bubba wants to play, the most important positions are OL and ILB. Last year was not good at either position. Run and stop the run.

    The Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for Mercer and Hunt so the 'real' drug dealers would not be worried about being caught?

    I would guess there is a large chunk the team that is relieved that something is being done about this mess. I hope nobody on the here thinks the majority of guys on the team don't have some idea of what has been going on. How motivating is that?

    That would mean conspiracy, so then you have to ask the question why? Conspiracy against Mercer and Hunt or conspiracy against UND football? Does not add up to me.

    How would Bubba even know there was a story about Mercer and Hunt?

    So Bubba, suspended Mercer and Hunt for no reason? just decided he did not want them playing in the last game of the season and the last game of Mercer's career?

    First raid in May, Keelan Poole residence. No known charges. 3 raids, 3 arrests, 3 players kicked off, 2 suspensions.     Do you think at some point in all of this taht Bubba and the investigators may have touched base and gave him a heads up on exactly what has been going on? Remember the first two raids netted drugs and scales. This last part is purely hunch on my part, but GF just had the biggest seizure in years. 2 college students, I find it hard to believe it is all coincidence. Again the last part I s purely connecting dots on my part, but those boys have been under surveillance for awhile too and the timing was perfect.

    That would infer that Hunt and Mercer were “innocent”. Contrary to great whites earlier statement the search warrant was issued from surveillance for multiple players for multiple days. How many more arrests for dealing do you think Bubba and the staff can survive before Kennedy says enough.

    Again, what are you talking about? Nobody on the UND football team has had 5 random drug tests this fall. hiw do you think it will bite the coaches/management in the butt?

    Bubba has the support of those above him. Will be more attrition once random drug testing begins.

    Not sure what your point is? Are you telling me that Hunt and Mercer were "innocent" or nothing was found? If you are a fan of UND football and would like to see it prosper, Bubba has no choice but to use a baseball bat to clean up this mess now.

    I agree, but if the players we have are 100% bought in to UND football I think that will lend itself to major improvement. Coaching and confidence is underrated in football. Take a team like Wisconsin in the B1G, no blue bloods there but it looks like the sum is equal to far more than the parts. This season at UND the sum was far less than the parts.

    Get the culture right and stay away from the injuries and it will be a very complete etitive game with NDSU in 2019.
