IMO Izzy needs to be on the field with either 31 or 89 or both when in 3 receiver formations.

As so many on here have said, this week @ Sam Houston will tell a lot about where Bubba has the program. Bubba's plan is pretty simple, run and pass the ball to control the clock, stop the run and bring pressure to stop the pass on defense and play good special teams to control field position. After 2 games, my biggest question to Bubba and staff would be on field goals and kickoffs. I think the defense(anyone heard anything on Blubaugh, Tank and Larson status?) will do well overall @ Sammy and the offense will move the ball enough to score 4 TD's. We need to be able to make EVERY field goal inside 45 yards and be able to kick the ball out of the end zone on kickoffs.

Hopefully not serious. Both went down in the third quarter.

The success of the D was frankly shocking to me. First TD was all on offense after the fumble. They were controlling the line of scrimmage for the most part for the first 3 quarters, Harris is back, and their play gave me hope for some big things this season.

For 3 quarters we were banging with a top 10 FBS team. If the offense could have come up with a couple of long drives with points it would have been a game til the end. Other than kicking I am very encouraged.

Jury is still out on this team IMO. At one point they were taking it to Washington. Could be really good. Can stop the run and can run.

Very mismanaged 4th quarter. Not sure what we tried to accomplish in 4th quarter. Hopefully no serious injuries.

Saw ice wrapped on back of leg.

Should be overturned on fumble.

The kicker at this point is by far the biggest weakness on this team.

Dumb if that is the case.

A third of that was on the last play of the half.

Overall I’ll take it. Gave them one td via offensive TO. 17-0 is good. Kicker is awful and we need to get the ball to Santiago more and where is Brady?

UW 31-20. UND leads as late as the 2nd quarter.

I know its a long, long, long shot but had to ask........ I say a couple first half Husky turnovers(how about a Harris pick 6?). 3-headed RB monster catches UW off-guard and UND runs for 150 yards. Ketteringham is great and completes 75% with zero TO's including a bomb to Izzy. Schmidt comes up with enough wild pressure packages to keep UW off its stride. UND 28-21

Corners look better when the qb is under heavy pressure and look average or worse(2017)when the qb has all day to throw. Once Schmidt brought pressure, the cb play magically improved.

Lots of good comments in this post. Solid QB play, pound the ball, stuff the run and it will be a good year. DB's looked much better in 2nd half after Schmidt started blitzing. Specials need lots of work. As of now kickoff depth/coverage and missed field goals will cost us a victory or two.

Completely agree. Schmidt adjusted and the defense shut MVSU down completely in the 2nd half.

I thought all 3 played well. Two of them were playing their first collegiate game. Ott and Larson play downhill.
