Any idea on any recruits who may be at game? 2022's or 2023's?

Great points. With a couple exceptions, I just don't think UND will ever have substantially better personnel than it has right now. So much football comes down to coaching... preparation, game plan, play calls, in game decisions, time management, adjustments. Overall this has not been good at UND this season.

They all matter, but most contested football games come down to a handful of game-changing plays. IMO those two plays were both big enough to not only change the outcome of the game, but also the season and possibly a career.

With a handful of different play calls & game management decisions this team could be 8-1. Better facilities will improve the team personnel to some degree, but this team is good enough to win the MVFC right now. Better facilities will have no bearing on those decisions.

Unfortunately I agree, almost impossible for UND to get in at 6-5. Their fate was likely sealed with the meltdown in Springfield, MO.

Absolutely. The 4th and 1 vs NDSU was a huge play in the fall 2021 season. So was the 4th and 2 vs Missouri State.

IMO you are talking about two different things. The short term (2021 fall season), which has laid bare many shortcomings in roster management, game management, play calling and being ready and organized to win football games NOW. Overall recruiting has been pretty good under Bubba as evidenced by the results over the last 3 seasons, Bubba and staff has assembled (for the most part) the "jimmys & joes" to win the MVFC consistently which will always put you in contention for a national championship. I'm far from convinced the "x's and o's" are in place to make that happen. In the medium to long term, the University needs to make the commitment to the football program and get phase 2 under construction ASAP. Once that is complete, UND will have the facilities the premiere facilities it needs to recruit consistently and compete for an FCS championship each year.

This was another game where the defense doesn't show up 'til the second quarter(USD & SIU also) & other than the last 2 drives the offense was terrible most of the game(NDSU, USD, SIU) & another questionable call on a key 4th down(Tommy with a Q draw?). Not sure what to make of this team, seems overall like it is vastly underperforming. I guess that's why it is 4-5.

No question about that comparison, maybe Tom Brady is just a really lucky QB too.

Over time there us nothing lucky about results in football. A play or two? Of course, a win or a loss? Maybe. Anything more. Nope.

This offense just sucks . No way to sugar coat it. It sucks.
