  1. Great post. Lots and lots of TRUTH!
  2. Satisfaction when UND struggles? Go back and look at my posts over the years. Even this season I have been been a victim of the "kool-aid". Going into this season Bubba's record over the previous 5 seasons was 26-26. Logically, why do any of us expect it to improve at this point? I admit, I was caught up in it again after the victories vs MSU and YSU. Yes, there is a cost to trying something else, but there is also a cost to keeping everything the same. Bubba is a great man, but his record says he is an average football coach. The University, it's athletic department and the football fans of UND need to decide if being average is ok? We all have different opinions on what is acceptable, and in my book there is nothing wrong with that.
  3. From you, I take that as a badge of honor. Is it now a requirement on Siouxsports.com, to have your head buried deep in the sand? I call them as I see them... Is .500 football ok with you? Or is it just "bad luck"? And it's just been "good luck" the last 12 years 90 miles to the south...
  4. 100% agree. Was intentional and very bad. HEad-to-head, defenseless player and the defender launched his body. Ugly.
  5. You are comparing what is arguably the strangest play in NFL history to a pick 6 caused by a player inexplicably not blocking a guy lined up 5-6 feet from him? Was there a press conference on Saturday or is there one today? It definitely warrants a question. #84 did not hesitate, did not look back, just moved on to the safety.
  6. 7-4 UND gets in. 6-5, we are out. Getting to 7-4 is the trick. How many times since 2016 have we won 3 games in a row? I know we won the first 4 in the Spring season. I will have to go back and look. Abilene will be a test. Indiana State on the road will be a test and USD at home will be a test, NDSU on the road is a huge test.
  7. Watch the game again and then tell me they are not signaling Tommy at times and each other, especially when in trips. https://www.espn.com/watch/player/_/id/3f6b1ad1-ca85-4d1e-b306-84a8f37a3dc5#bucketId=2
  8. 11,067 was official attendance. Looking about 7,500 for ACU.
  9. Don't turn the ball over, get 100+ yards rushing and we will win.
  10. I’m watching the game again right now. The 4th and one before the half where Quincy comes in motion, fakes the sneak and then continues is a complete cluster f ck too. Should have been picked off.
  11. The receivers and Tommy are signaling to each other throughout the game. Watch it again.
  12. Watch the same play on the second drive. Same arm signal by the #2 in the trips. They are signaling each other.
  13. I love Bubba, he is a great man. Realistically, after 10 years, we are lying to ourselves thinking this program is going to ever be better than 5-6, 6-5 or 7-4. I admit, after the Missouri State and Youngstown wins, I was lying to myself again. I'll be there Saturday cheering on my team, but at some point I want to be SDSU/NDSU, when it comes to FCS football. The Hawk fan in me says we will win the next 3 and then play a good game in Fargo and possibly come out with a win but at the least, a playoff berth. The realist in me says we will lose at least one of the next 3, and then lose in Fargo and then start convincing ourselves next season will be different.
  14. Watching it again, I don't think he did. His right arm swings back signaling something to Tommy?
  15. That’s the hardest part, it’s the same thing every year. Get to the moment of truth, the moment to truly take the next step, and then we don’t take it.
  16. It wasn't a bad block, he did not attempt to block the DB over him and moved on to the next DB down the line. IMO if players don't know what they are doing its on the coaches, not the players. #84 gives #80 a signal when they line up and then repeats the signal to Tommy before the ball is snapped. Watch the play again. #84 does not hesitate he thinks he is supposed to go after the safety.
  17. Totally agree, Danny had great initial script for the game and had the Jacks off balance. The pick 6 changed it all. Even on the 3rd TD drive Belquist made a great catch on a long sideline throw(25 yards) and then we got incredibly lucky on that long flee flicker to Wright(34 yards), Tommy should not have thrown that ball. We need to learn how to play with the lead. SDSU was very well prepared and made some solid adjustments.
  18. We KNOW they didn't practice that play(its an option play, tommy decides based on what he sees to hand off or throw it) enough with #84 in the middle of the trips set and a DB in tight coverage over the top of him. They had run same play near goal line on second drive and Tommy handed it to smith.
  19. It’s obvious they did not practice it enough with that personnel, against that defense enough. I’m not trying to be difficult, when mistakes are made that obvious, it’s on the coaches and lack of preparedness. The UND360 guys infer the WR had a brain cramp. That’s not how football works. That’s not how life works. There was nothing “lucky/unlucky” about the punch-out fumble either. The only luck involved was that SDSU recovered it.
  20. Are you inferring the dback didn’t recognize the play? If you know as much as I think you probably know about the Hawks, you likely know what the play is by formation, personnel and/or motion. That mistake isn’t on Tommy, it’s on the staff.
  21. Of course I’m with the Hawks. Next four games are huge on multiple levels.
  22. But it did happen and it can be directly linked to coaching. SDSU recognized a combo of personnel and formation and knew what was coming. Tommy had not practiced the opponent recognition on that play enough to recognize the danger signs and throw it away or tuck it and run. You are correct, it was a HUGE play in the game.
  23. Yeah looked awful, feel bad for him. Will give krzanowski another shot at the field? #44 has not been much as much of a factor so far this season, not sure what has been going on there.
