I certainly think more of them after beating Northwestern, than I did losing 2 FCS games to start the season. Not sure how good Northwestern is. What happens next week in Carbondale will likely be predicated on what happens today in Flagstaff. Go Hawks!

Hard to make the case Northwestern is a good football team at this point. So far this season they came from behind to beat an awful Nebraska team, lost to Duke and now are behind by 14 to an 0-2 FCS team.

I was thinking that as I watched Air Force lose to Wyoming last night. First 3 qtrs vs Nebraska and beating UNI has lost some of its glow.

Nebraska is a bad football team.

Just going by the last few years and the pattern...big win, then a clunker. Hopefully this team proves it is different...until then NAU 31 UND 21. UND shoots itself in the foot with TO's and penalties.

We have had some serious clunkers on the road, the last few years. Hopefully we get that changed this week.

Tommy running the ball was the difference in the game. If we have the usual 3 rushes for 1 yard( 2 TFL's), today we are wondering where we go from here, instead of planning the next win.

Going to the Alerus on a Saturday to watch the Hawks is just not the thing to do in Grand Forks on a Saturday. It's sad, but its reality. It starts with the students, athletic department needs to get and keep them more engaged with the football team.

Billy Rivière had 2 catches for 40 yards in Washington State upset of Wisconsin yesterday. Good for Billy.

I’ll state the obvious. Nebraska football is a mess. All that name recognition, all that money, all that fan support. Will be interesting to watch what happens from here.

I wrote that, and then retracted it right away, he doesn’t suck. It was a dumb comment on my part. I don’t hate Tommy. I am exhausted of being a distant bridesmaid to NDSU. It’s largely a QB driven game today, and we haven’t gotten it done over a stretch of more than 4 games for 6 years? Obviously, the reasons for UND football frustrations go beyond QB play, but QB play is generally the centerpiece to long term success or failure of a team. Yesterday, quite frankly, Tommy played great and he did the things he has needed to do, for UND to be a real contender, throw it deep and run the football. He did both vs UNI and his feet and running were the difference in the game. Keep the w’s coming, I will be happy eating crow. Its time.
