Bubba ball is never going to be a 50/50 split. It is about great defense, running the ball, play action passes and controlling the game. i agree sometimes a pass can be effective on first down, but some on here envision an offense that Bubba will never run IMO. This UND team has a chance to be really special. Obviously they have plenty to work on, but I frankly dont understand all the criticism of the OC.

If the student interest continues and we continue winning, the alerus can turn into some serious home field advantage.

Rastas was moving pretty well, but really struggles on taking on blockers. Must be considerably better than neverman, for the playing time ratioafter donnell went down.

That would be great, Donnell will be out for awhile.

Don't think donnell is very good, and I think it was demon Taylor. Lots of defensive injuries this season so far, how many defensive players have we lost for the season or extended periods?

Remember it is early in the season, team looks good for this point. Plenty to to work on, specials, penalties etc, but it will come. Bubba has taken this program a long ways in a relatively short time.

Do we know which frosh have had their shirts pulled for sure at this point? I have heard Shannon, Bluebaugh and Adeotti. Is that it? Any other possibilities?

It will be great. What college football is all about. Will be some great games.

I completely agree with the top 25-40 FBS schools, but lets face it there are alot of BAD FBS schools. There is no sport where coaching is more important than it is with football. A good coaching staff gets 2+2 to equal 5, a great coaching staff gets 2+2 to equal 6 and a bad coaching staff gets 2+2 to equal 3. IMO Mizzou had a terrible defensive game plan, were slow to adjust, and need to work alot more on tackling and angles. If Mizzou lined up against a top SEC West team last Saturday they lose by 55.

The SEC West is far better than the SEC East and the Top of the SEC West is far far better than the bottom of the SEC East. Its like comparing Illinois and Ohio State because they are in the BIG. I watched the MO st - Mo game and there was very little tackling on either side. We'll find out this week how good Mo State is, but saying MO is good because they are in SEC is ridiculous. The top FBS teams ARE far better than the the top FCS teams, but a ton of FBS teams are along ways from the top.

They looked awful vs Portland state too. PSU was one turnover away from a win.

That would be good news. Need to build depth at lb so we can keep up pressure on qbs, he also brings some size to ilb along with donnel. Disterhaupt played a helluva game but I noticed him catching running backs a couple of times.

Everybody on the schedule scares me if we can't pound the rock and control the game. Defensively much of lb and db crew is green and/or thin. Need to keep them on sideline til a little more seasoned.
