I'm thinking we'll be #7/8 range, but I'm more interested in seeing how we come back on a short week against a good team after a big win. If we're wanting to be a top team, this is the type of game we should be in control of right from the start.

This weekend will really help shake some stuff out. However, if you had to pick our first tournament opponent between the dakota schools and ORU, who would you pick? ORU- Abmas and Obanor USD- Plitzuweit and Umode SU's- both pretty balanced, though does appear SDSU's Freidel might sit remainder of season.

UND (7-15, 6-7) vs USD (11-8, 9-2) 2/14 230

Great weekend....did we hire a shooting coach or something? Seems like Everyone is just stroking it a lot more confidently. -
3 TOs left down 4.... 2 minutes......can't even get a shot off. 2 TOs left down 5...1 minute... No one wants to shoot and we wasted 15-20 seconds at volleyball line.. Would've liked a timeout by coach to set something up and calm them down either time. But instead she waits to call TO down 9 with 14 seconds left to set up a lob for a 2 pt that was picked off.. Great effort by the girls today for like 36 minutes....1st and last 2 minutes cost the game. Real tough to let it slip away, but tomorrow's another shot.

Anyone seen how close their seats are to normal? Regardless of what you think about COVID, let's just all enjoy the season and be appreciative we're on track to have one.

Anything newsworthy at practice last few days? Don't have the herald so didn't catch Miller's articles.

I like it, can never recruit enough QB's. They're usually playing QB because they are the smartest or best athlete on the team. Even if it doesn't work out at QB, they can usually make an impact elsewhere, i.e. Boltmann.
-
What? Schedule is playing 8 straight weeks. Only except is vs USD on a Thursday.
-
I hope whoever is best gets the majority of the snaps at QB, but I also hope that #2 and #3 get plenty of meaningful game time.

UND (3-10, 2-2) vs NDSU (6-6, 4-0) 1/15 730 (Game 1)

You're not wrong, but it'd be a lot more enjoyable to watch a team play well before that. -

Not only are we a poor shooting team, but we don't usually even get good looks. Seems like every game we have a huge scoring drought that costs us the game. -
UND (3-9, 2-1) @ ORU (5-6, 2-1) 1/9 730 (Game 2)

DAE in street clothes? He aggravate something or on minutes restrictions? -
Better effort tonight so far..49-47 Hawks 4:30 left 3Q......but has anyone been listening to this ORU announcer? Man he's tough to listen to.. constantly getting players names wrong too And I'm not sure where he gets his stats from but he's called Reinke the 12th highest scorer in the summit league like 4 times....

After 2 games, Ihenacho, Nero, Sims, Sueker, Rebraca, DAE, G, have shown a lot of positives, and enough negatives, that are hopefully fixable. Overall Defense and FT shooting have obviously been bad. Maybe Sueker would be better served as scorer off the bench, seems to like to call his own number. Start Sims at 4, DAE at the 3. Shockey does show some potential as well. Danielson seems like a hard working team first guy, but he isn't all that quick and he can't shoot, I want to like him as he's a sather guy. Can someone help me?

I thought our guys never had any other offers?!?!?!?!!?! Sucks, but I guess it is a positive that it's for a FBS school.
-
This feels like we're doing a franchise draft on Madden and going all offense. Would like to see some guys on D, but it's still way too early to say how the overall class will look. I do like the guys we've gotten so far tho. Let's keep it rolling.

Stick was 5th round.....Don't need to give them any extra credit.

We might as well proceed as if the season will go on as scheduled until we know otherwise, mainly to help keep our sanity. Here's my thoughts on this season and the schedule. -4 must win games (Valpo, Missouri St, @WIU, @Portland St) -2 road games at Youngstown and Illinois St...must win 1 -Must win 2 of 3 at home vs SDSU, USD, SIU -2 likely tough road losses @Kan St, NDSU 7-4 overall, 4-1 at home 3-3 on the road. Pretty realistic to me. Hopefully we can do better than this tho and we're talking about playoff seeding/positioning in November and not just playoff chances.

7 "State" schools on the schedule, let's just beat all them.
-
Any NG, DE or DB we are still looking at for next signing period?
-
One thing with Nelson is that maybe he came here to play with his brother and didn't want to redshirt.
-
so I know games can ebb and flow, but AP got dominated by the box score, 24-10....197 yards passing 0 yards rushing......and basically 100 yards came on a 1 play TD and a fake punt....not trying to be sarcastic, but just wondering what part of AP you were impressed with?
-
Hopefully he has a good weekend up here....and that he's not the only one. Would like to see some more commits from the weekend.

I show about 20-25 prospects listed on 2021 wiki? Is that what you've pieced back together so far? I'll copy it would be helpful. I enjoy looking at it as well and definitely appreciate the efforts.

Correct. The year we'd all like to forget.
