Wow, 20 pounds. That is alot for 1 year. Lets have him talk with Marto...
-
I agree, as good as the AHL, BUT 1/2 the season...
-
Ouch... Crosby_87 has been a good source for information in the past, so I don't doubt it. Ouch... I suspect that this will have a noticable effect on the D-men development that we have grown so accustomed to.

Just keep the Alaska kids away from McDonalds... Lets not repeat history.

I would agree that he is not going to come in as one of the top 6 forwards, but I think his talant, attributes (size), and those around him will land him on a top line (also I think you could switch him and Vandevelde very easily).

Grumble, grumble grumble... I knew I'd F@#* Up something. Fixed in edit.

Why? because it is hot and miserable, I'm stuck inside, and it is fun... Also please list your reasons Forwards: Oshie, Toews, Duncan, Kozek, Watkins, Kaip, Porter, Fabian, Miller, Vandevelde, Forney, Zajac, Foyt, Martens, Genoway, Bishop Defense: Lee, Chorney, Jones, Finley, LaPointe, Radke, Alexander, Bina Goaltenders Lamoureux, Grieco, Walski 1st Line: Oshie, Duncan, Kozek Kozek is a good finisher to go with two good playmakers. 2nd Line: Toews, Porter, Forney Plenty of power in front of the net for some easy rebound goals. Expect Porter to be the next UND Senior to step up. 3rd Line: Kaip, Fabian, Zajac 2 legit Checking Line Players and Zajac who has an edge. Also some offensive upside. 4th Line: Watkins, Miller, Vandevelde I like what I saw from a Miller not at 100% last year. Also could this be the fastest 4th line in the nation. Watkins showed flashes of brilliance last year. Other Forwards Martens, Foyt, Bishop, Genoway Might be hard to keep Bishop and Genoway out of the lineup. Good competition to keep everyone playing well & practicing hard. 1st Defense: Lee, Chorney Remember they were FRESHMEN!, They will come back much improved particularly on offense. 2nd Defense: Jones, Finley Jones is an angry, angry defender. Finley will poke check the puck at center from in front of his crease. 3rd Defense: Radke, Bina Other Defense: Alexander Goaltender: Duh I just don't want to spell it again. Other Goaltenders: Grieco, Walski PP: Toews, Oshie, Duncan, Lee, Chorney Great all-around talent. PK: Oshie, Porter, Finley, Jones Hey Jones, no 5x3s!

Given his size, skating ability, and strength, I think Zajac is one of the more polished NHL ready players to leave UND for the NHL. I would contend he is more NHL ready than Zach was.

Back to the original post: The latest and possibly final Roster looks like this: Forwards: Oshie Toews Duncan Kozek Watkins Kaip Porter Fabian Miller Vandevelde Forney Zajac Foyt Martens Bishop Defense Lee Chorney Jones Finley Radke Bina Genoway Alexander??? Goaltenders Lamoureux Grieco Walski Not too shabby... If everyone had returned this could have been one of the best college hockey teams ever. Oh well, this team will still compete for #8.

Not sure but I think Hunter is ineligible in 06-07, as a transfer. Edit: No I'm confused, who is the AA transfer?
-
The USCHO cover page notes that both UND an North Dakota lost key players...
-
Why have the best line in the country when you can have the best 2... Putting too much talent on one lines invites teams to shadow, clutch, and grab. An don't expect the officials to call it when it happens. I think back to Parise, Bochinski, and Murray, where other teams ran tackling drills.

This Wild team will be different. They have offensive talent now.

ML played his best hockey down the stretch in the USHL. If Hak offered a scholarship, I am 100% certain that we want and will appreciate him...

Here are my thoughts as to the remaining big time recruits. Ben Winnett - My guess is that with Wilson gone he is high on the Sioux wish list. From Salmon Arm (Sioux farm system) Ben Blood - Shattuck hard hitting Defensman. Small for Sioux 6'1" Pat Kane - Maybel best player still out there, likely will not play college or go to BU. Brett Bruneteau - Haven't heard much, but a solid forward. Brad Malone - Another big time forward Mario Lamoureux - You have heard of him Jason Gregoire - This would be a good pickup Lucas Bloodoff - Power Forward, Can you have Blood without Bloodoff? Riley Nash - Emerging player also playing for the Sioux Juniors in Salmon Arm. Not to mention players like LaPointe that seemingly come out of nowhere to become legit professional prospects. There are also players like Toews (who was NOT originally expected to play college), that the Sioux tend to attract. 2008 could be another LOADED Sioux class.

I'll take that statement and 1-up you...

At least the Bruins are on local TV...

Quit rolling in the mud with the pig...

You mean after the championship? I agree with you on Skille being more NHL ready. You have to give it to the blackhawks in making some moves to help their team for the future. They have had good trades and drafts. Now if they could only ditch the biggest idiot owner in all of pro sports.

Quit yelling...

Iowa just got twice as exciting.
