Lay off the Domino's... I don't thisnk he ever actually gave the puck away, despite oging after it amny times. Saturdays game shows me that Hak doesn't really believe in Walski, and we will never see him play a meaningful game for the Sioux (unless th eother keepers are all hurt).

I'll post some additional thoughts tomorrow, but wow, Zach Jones is a very angry man...
-
Save it for when he lights it up for the Sioux...
-
There are a ton of seats open on the end where the Sioux shoot twice.
-
Now that's entertainment.

BTW, you lame a$$ Sioux fans, you know who... Throw your beat up old hats...... Shame on you...

Exciting game last night. Miller was the best player on the ice. I have been his number one fan since the SCCC series last year. I think he showed everyone what I have seen for awhile. Doubters be damned. Martens also looked good, he skates hard and controls both ends of the ice well. Genoway looked very fast, as did Duncan. Grieco was terrible, he created many opportunities for the opponents be giving big rebounds. This kept the puck in play on the PK, and created many Sioux penalties in front of the net. His reflexes were slow and positioning was off. I have NO doubt he will get better. If Walski doesn't play tonight, I think he NEVER will, in a meaningful game. Oshie is trying too hard, the other team is focusing on him. Just pass the puck. Kozek looked bad. Duncan only looked good when he wasn't with Oshie / Kozek. Porter played very well. He is a tough player and I think the best passer on the team. Chorney looked better than Lee offensively and really attacked the net. What I don't like is that Chorney poorly executes some easy passes on the PP. Insted of delivering a puck that can be one timed, he consistently put the puck to the wrong side of the player. On the PK your goalie has to be good, ours was not. We have some good faceoff guys, but there will be no faceoffs if you keep giving up huge rebounds (except at center ice). Forney looked good, he seems to know just what angle to take. He was tentative, but really showed som flashes. Vandevelde had his good moments and also had a couple of Vanek defensive moments. 2 years ago Fabian had his best ever game in Mankato. This was maybe his worst. Terrible defense, couldn't stay up. Out of position, couldn't clear the puck on the PK, couldn't pass the puck. Not pretty... I would love to see either Forney or Bishop with Martens / Miller tonight. Sioux should roll if they get OK goaltending.

I witnessed many S-SM shirts at the game last night, coaches and players I suspect.

I was at the game. We need Walski to play tonight. I don't know who said Grieco did OK, but he was aweful. I suspect that he wil improve, but he killed the team in so many ways. 3 of the 4 goals were weak at best. He was consistently out of position and left huge openings. He got beat many time where MSU didn't score. He gave up a ton of rebounds in front on shots where there should have never been a rebound. This led to 4 penalties where the Sioux had to X-check or hold to prevent a goal. A better team would have scored 8 goals last night. He does look to be a very good puck handler. I didn't see anything that would make thing that Walski shouldn't get a start.

I want to see what the Michael Forney hype is all about this weekend. I've only seen his short and unimpressive stint at the state tourney. I want to see something this weekend.

This was too hard to read, put down the bottle...

For a short while there was a series of product ads featuring some driver's fake school (can't remember who's). But the idea was that folks would ask questions like, "What is a safe following distance at highway speeds," and the driver would respond "6 inches." I loved those comericials, but I digress... I know there is a Holiday Inn right near the civic center, are there any other hotels nearby? Also what are some recommended restaurants / bars?

I absolutely love the idea of Bishop, Miller, Martens (who I never thought would be a regular before this year). That is like putting a 3rd or 4th line on the ice that may be the fastest line in the WCHA.

A south-paw, I see...
-
I believe that it will be broadcast on Charter Access if you get that.

Hak hasn't asked me yet. But, when he does I will suggest that a team can currently have it's best possesion, defensive players out against Toews and Oshie because they are on the same line. If they were on different lines it increases the likelyhood of a mismatch. Yep, that is what I'll say when he asks for my take...

I'll be there, and just as loud as if we swept Maine.
-
Well, lets hope that the recruits really liked everything but how the team played this weekend...
-
The net result of the weekend is that the Sioux can kiss a #1 seed goodbye...
-
The captains failed UND last night, lets see if Porter and Toews step up.

2 poor outings in a row, turn it around now...
