  1. You have to give them a lot of credit because they're obviously a solid team all around and they were far better prepared on Saturday than UND was. But keep in mind, that when a game snowballs like that the team on top usually appears to be far superior to what they actually are. It would be deceiving to compare their scores from here on out. I see USD with a playoff spot, but they'll drop a game or two in their conference. I dread the day when NDSU plays them because I think a team like NDSU will match up well with them and will probably beat them at their own game. But with their style I also can see them beating teams like SDSU and JMU. And along those lines I see a team like NDSU losing to teams like SDSU and JMU this season. That's what makes football so fun. We saw USD at their best, and we saw UND at their worst. If UND and USD played 10 times I still have USD winning 9 times, but the worst score of the 9 would be 45-7.
  2. I'm more pumped for this upcoming NHL season than I have been for any other in the past. I can't wait to see how Jost and Boeser do in their first full years. I also anticipate seeing bigger things (35+ point seasons) out of Cags and Schmaltzy too. Then there is LaDue and Stech making noise on the blueline and solidifying themselves as key D-men. This group of guys seems to be the next big wave of NHL talent that UND has produced. For the most part, it seemed like there was a big gap between them and the Oshie, Parise, Toews, Stafford, Zajac era. It's exciting to see this many UND guys, with so much talent, all hitting the market at the same time again. It's an exciting time to be a UND fan. Of the guys listed I think it's obvious that Stech is set up the most comfortably (rightfully so) to be the most successful again this season. But I'm going to put my money on Boeser having the most success of them all this season, even more so than Stech. I know his 2nd year at UND was a little disappointing and made his stock fall, but I believe we'll see more of that true scorer type player out of him this year in the NHL. He showed it in the few games he played at the end of last season, and I only expect to see more of that this entire year. Jost will have a long career in the show and will have a lot of success, but I just don't see that happening with him this season. 1. because he could've used some more time to develop and 2. because he will be part of a frustratingly poor club. Thompson had a good season with San Diego, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a small taste of the big league at some point this year. I haven't heard much on Luke Johnson. Anyone?
  3. How about a giant metal muskrat or a steel single plow? A steal hay bale would be too hard to move around.
  4. Quality always seems to be okay when it's working. But, I remember several different times last year that I lost the feed for several minutes at a time and also remember losing the sound pretty often. I also didn't realize how many games it doesn't cover. I was pretty surprised that it only covers like 2/3 or 3/4 of the games. That was disappointing, so I'm not sure if I will get it again this year.
  5. I was going to say the same thing to him lol
  6. Vegas odds are showing UND with the win?
  7. Yet when NDSU has beat an FBS team early on in a season they constantly use that FBS team's accomplishments from the previous season to gloat about and compare to. They completely ignore the fact that it's an entirely different team from the year before. Worse yet, they then continue to tack on anyone else the said team beats later on in the season as someone they're better than as well. Any legitimate football follower knows certain teams match up much differently to different opponents. And it's mind boggling how much one team can evolve throughout the season. Sometimes it can be a completely different team by the end of the year. Comparing scores is NDSU's forte. #BringOnBama
  8. I can watch it through my amazon fire stick or my xbox but you're not able to do both at the same time. Yes it works on your phone too but that would be tough to watch an entire game on your phone.
  9. It may have already been discussed, but with my Sling TV I have like 6 or so PAC12 channels. I'm assuming the game will be on the Mountain PAC12 channel?
  10. I think our D line will hold their own but I'm worried our O line will struggle. If the O line does struggle, it might hold back Santiago and Studs enough to keep them out of their capabilities. Studs will probably play out of his norm and throw a couple picks. I think Oliveria will get the majority of the carries but will only average 2-2.5 yards per. Hopefully the skill of Santiago will be enough to bust open a few big plays on his own. I'm looking for the defense to make some big plays to keep this game competitive. Pick 6 from Evan to start off the year? Maybe even a nice kick return or punt return TD out of Santiago?!? I REALLY like the call of having our big guns bellied up at the big special teams positions. Special teams make for the biggest field position swings and call for the biggest play-makers to make their marks. IMO there aren't many positions tougher than being a punt returner. Why have a marginal guy back there that seems to make the wrong choice every other return and makes everyone nervous every single punt return (Siebel). He always seems so indecisive and tentative, it drives me crazy! Everyone should be EXCITED knowing we have a punt return coming up because it's an opportunity to get our stud some open field to do his thing.
  11. Unlikely for JJ to play? Assuming we will see a lot of Sant, Oliv and a few to Nordog?
  12. Kavika Luafatasaga (young morpheus) Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus)
  13. If he wants to be upset about anything, he should be upset about how mediocre that commit seems to be. As a sophomore forward he had 8 goals and 15 assists in 22 games last season. Being 6th on the team in scoring for a 16-9 HIGH SCHOOL hockey team doesn't really jump out at me.
  14. I scanned that article earlier and I don't remember it being a shot at gopher hockey whatsoever. Maybe I have to read it again but how is that a shot at MN hockey? If anything it could be seen as a shot at NW MN for not having as elite of hockey as they did in the past...maybe...but no. Seems more like he was just pointing out that NW MN and the Gophers just haven't connected on players as much recently as they have in the past. I can compare this to saying Schloss was taking a shot at UND for saying they haven't had a commit from Fargo in however long. Which again, could maybe been seen as a shot at Fargo...but again it wasn't at all. I don't get where you're coming from at all John W. Unless we are taking about different articles?
  15. I think UND's O will hold their own for the most part but will make quite a few costly mistakes against an unforgiving team. Containing Utah's new young QB will be our ultimate demise but our banged up and thin DB world will not help things. UND will have more grit and will keep it a game but I have Utah 38- UND-20
  16. Champions of 1999 and 2000 with the TO. They were the champions several more times longer than 20 years ago as well. Are they still running the TO in FBS?
  17. Sadly, that's probably not too far fetched.
  18. Coach Lewis Powell Suge Knight
  19. Noah RodriquezValente Rodriguez - George Lopez
  20. What are all the new restaurants popping up in GF/EGF? I heard there is a new sandwich shop popping up next to the new starbucks? That complex is in a new location of Washington and Demers??? Yikes What about that strip mall style building going up by the old Bucks? Will any of those be restaurants? What's going in the old Green Mill? Sonic and Chick-fil-a will be completed soon it looked like.
