I've watched both teams in person during the regular season too though. I still think RR will win, as that's what I predicted. I guess I just meant it wouldn't seem like a big upset to me if BHS won. Minot beating GFC on the other hand, now THAT would be an upset.

Century is a lot better than I thought they would be. I also noticed that they took down South and Davies earlier this year which I forgot about. With that said, I've been impressed with this DL team's grit. So I think DL will take it to them and win in a close one if they can stay out of the box. I'll guess 3-2 DL! I just can't see Ness letting in more than 2 goals.

I wouldn't be surprised if High beat RR. They looked like the best team out of the 2 night games.

Im not arguing that Minnesota doesn't have any elite teams, I've already said they do. I'm just arguing that more teams doesn't necessarily mean all around higher quality...it was directed at your bigger and better comment. overall Minnesota has more than enough poor programs to make up for their top 10% elite teams. That's all I was trying to point out. So I'm talking per capita here not top dogs vs tops dogs.

Devils Lake is 2-1 vs MN teams. They have made the championship game in the Roseau holiday tourney 3 out of 3 years and winning it once out of those three. In Minnesota you get tons of hockey and you hear a lot about the best teams. Behind the scenes their HS hockey is diluted by A LOT of poor programs. Im done now.

Fargo Davies who we just saw as a mediocre team was 3-0 vs MN teams. Starting to get my drift?

Fargo South who didn't even make state and were a mediocre team in ND were 4-1-1 vs MN teams.

I think it'll be 2-2. BHS will probably take down DL

Grafton was 4-19 this season. 3 of those 4 wins were against garbage MN teams. MN has plenty of elite HS teams but they have many garbage programs as well. Teams worse than a bottom feeder ND team.

Yes I sure as hell respect their top 25-30 teams. But what about their other, what...275 teams??? Not so much! They have just as many if not many more garbage programs as they do solid ones. I think the mass number of teams can be Deceiving for people. Quantity doesn't mean quality.

What happened to Bloomington and apple valley etc. coming to that holiday tourney in GF? If I remember right, the gf teams didn't pose much of a threat and got beat down most of the time so thr Mnpls teams pulled out. Now gf resorted to inviting the Bismarck teams over for it.

Nope, Central has a whole 'nother gear than both of these teams. Davies failed to show they could have a chance against central when they played this season. Even Davies best against Central's worst night probably won't do it. They do have a goalie who can stand on their head...so that might keep a glimmer of hope alive for them if they get past Minot but very unlikely.

Back in 07 when Central didn't even make it to the State tourney people were losing their minds thinking Central hockey was collapsing. Now this season it's the opposite.

With how fast Bismarck, West Fargo and Fargo are growing, I imagine they are going to have big numbers to reload as well. Minot hockey isn't going anywhere anytime soon either. Again, GF is easily the top dog, but it's not like they never have any competition.
