UND fans, look no further then Utah State last year. USU the year prior was one of the worst in all of FBS. They brought in a new head coach and tons of transfers and completely turned that team around. Arizona could have the same trajectory.

Looking at Denver next year, Guttman (45 points) just signed last week with Chicago, all eyes are on Stapley (43 points) who did not sign with Montreal and like Guttman became a Free Agent. I'm guessing he'll sign as well, because you would most likely have heard otherwise if he was planning on coming back. IF Stapley signs, Denver will lose all four players that averaged over a PPG last year, including Wright who was a Grad Transfer, those 5 combined for 55% of the teams goals and 45% of the points. Denver reloads, has great returning players, loaded freshman class and two great transfers, but you'd think they would take a slight step back this upcoming year. Still will be a very good team though.

I'm in the camp of 0 for 5 is extremely disappointing. 1 for 5 is necessary. 2 for 5 you're feeling good. Anything more you're ecstatic. I also feel like although UND is Top 3 for Eiserman, that one is an extreme long shot. That list are ones I'm confident Berry is actively recruiting and there is mutual interest. There could be others (ex: Mac Swanson / Diego Buttazzoni) that are really good players, but not sure where they would stand.

UND was never going to go 6 for 6, but this one is tough. Losing a Minnesota guy to Denver is brutal.

Slipec will be playing in the USHL for Chicago. Having two of the top draft prospects on the same team is going to be fun to follow.

Updating this list to add Eiserman. Keith McInnis Danny Nelson EJ Emery Will Zellers Brendan McMorrow Cole Eiserman

Pre-season polls at the FCS level are really easy to read. How'd the team end up last year. UNI made the playoffs barely and are ranked accordingly. I don't like reading about anti-UND bias. They finished 5-6, why would they be ranked in the Top 25 when it's based on how you finished the year prior? UND is a Top 25 level talent this year, that I have no doubt. They have to start stringing together winning seasons and the "anti-UND" bias will suddenly disappear. I just as much as anybody wants to see UND start to make the local / national scene look bad with their predictions, but close isn't good enough in Football. New year and I like this team. The results need to start following the talent level.

Anybody with a good memory that has looked at the available tickets around this time in years past. How does this year look compared to other years? It appears to me that there aren't as many available as I would have normally thought. Is this correct? Student tickets: 210-212 Opposing tickets: Top of 218 Season Tickets: I clicked on buy season tickets and although you could pick most sections there weren't that many seats available Outside of opposing tickets being given back, would there be any other large groups of tickets that would become available? Ticket sales seem to be pretty strong.

Let's bring this back on track. Here's a list of five players I'm fairly certain that Berry and staff are actively recruiting. How many does UND end up with? Keith McInnis Danny Nelson EJ Emery Will Zellers Brendan McMorrow

Not at all. My posts today ultimately had nothing to do with UND. It was about how weird I find it to try to spin what BU / UofM have done since August 1st into a potential negative. That's it. My original post was strictly a compliment to both those programs.
-
I mean Michigan was the #1 team all of last year and lost in the Frozen Four in OT. Duluth / Denver being the exceptions it seems, there could be worse things then watching high level NHL talent, win a lot of games and make Frozen Fours even if it doesn't produce a Championship. UND fans know as well as anyone, it's not easy to win a Championship.
-
Sure. There’s no real magic bullet for roster construction. UND has one playoff win in the past five years. Not to turn negative on UND, they’ve had good teams during that time, more making the point of why can’t people just tip their cap to other programs sometimes. There isn’t anything negative you could say about these last two weeks for Minny or BU.
-
Boston University and Minnesota are absolutely crushing it. There's no way to spin it to be anything other then that. There's more high end players that have not committed then have, so we'll have to have some patience. BU and UofM though are starting to build quite the lead though on top class. Eiserman is down to those two as well.

360's D-Line preview Kelly called it the deepest group on the team. Very high praise for the unit from them.
-
I was going to post the same thing. The talk around this team from both Miller & 360 has been different then ever before. Much more positive then usual. Now, we keep our fingers crossed about Fall camp injuries. Based on Millers write up today, they are starting to see some. He did mention that he wouldn’t go into details unless they looked to impact the regular season, so hopefully just some minor dings so far.

Destroyed, no, but "surprisingly large loss" I think would deflate it a little. For me, look at Utah State last year. That didn't help build momentum, that's for sure.
-
As someone who's been pretty optimistic about the O-Line, listening to 360's preview today and reading this article has me really excited for this unit. Taking from both, the highlights being. Lotysz being healthy and battling for the starting center position with Carroll Bryant has impressed (current LG starter) Kuntz / Hagen fighting for Right Tackle spot Kilty back at RG (360 feels that's his best position) https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/und-football-fall-camp-day-2-offensive-linemen-building-bodies-of-work-after-injuries

I wouldn’t call that the worst case scenario

Who started at Tackle at SDSU when Waletzko was out?
-
Tommy's best game last Fall and overall (given opponent, ect) I would say the offenses best game was @ South Dakota State. I do think a lot of that was attributed to Tommy running by far the most he did all year. It wasn't anything crazy, maybe four / five times, but he got decent chunks of yards, moved the chains. Completely agree, he needs to run when given the chance.
-
They also think Kilty is a better Guard then he is Tackle.
-
I'll go McInnis. Is the locker room done yet? I think these first few days have actually shaped up pretty nice for UND, especially with the majority of the big name Minnesota guys not committing right away. If they can get these guys on campus they have as good of a shot as any.

PuckPreps has Boisvert as a 5 Star recruit and the 8th ranked Canadian skater in the 2006 class.

I remember reading something regarding Law School with him not too long ago.

Initial Depth Chart thoughts. Offensive Line. Offensive Line. Kilty is staying at Right Guard (He was listed as Left Tackle on Spring Ball depth chart) One returning starter at the position they started last year Three new starters Very young O-Line Christian / Lavell who "co-starters" throughout last Fall at Guard overtaken by transfer Bryant (Great sign) Carroll Up to 285 which is a little light, but no worries Lotysz not listed as injured I'm excited. The two biggest things I was keeping my eye on was (1) Could Carroll get up to 285 (2) Could a Transfer start over a returner. What's exciting is this is kind of a foundation year. If they can improve from last year and be solid, next year this unit will be really good. Left Tackle (Senior / Sophomore) Left Guard (Sophomore / Senior) Center (R-Freshman / Sophomore) Right Guard (Sophomore / Junior) Right Tackle (Sophomore / R-Freshman)
