  1. agree. not good for that type of system but great for those who cant have those installed in condos and apartments and so forth
  2. thats sweet! no need for webcast anymore as fcs is part of the 5.00 per month sports package here in az for digital cable offered. throw in the fox sports games against denver, gophers and uw and there are only a handful of away games most should have to watch on webcast if fcs is offered by your provider
  3. im ok with that breakdown but would rather see any win worth 3 points. i like the 3 points the more i think about it as its really rewarding a team for winning.
  4. LINK The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced today that, effective at the start of conference play on Oct. 23, a regulation time or overtime victory will be worth three points in the league standings. interesting to read this as 3 pints really seperates the good teams which isnt all that bad i guess. i presonally would like the wcha to go to the nhl system. 2 points for a win no matter what but 1 point each for a tie after overtime is completed. the length of overtime is probably its own discussion along with the shootout a possibility but just sticking to the point system with the rules as is i think a overtime game should reward each team with a point and the winner getting the 2 points no matter when they win the game. just my 2 cents. what does everyone think?
  5. and toews with 3 assists today for chi vs the swiss champs hc davos in 9-2 pre season win. those 3 assists were on the first 5 goals so not sure if he had more points. they play ZSC Lions in the Victoria Cup tomorrow
  6. we will see. i dont have a problem with it i guess but it may be the reason the wear down in the end. who knows. they are above the .500 for 1st halfs overall in haks first 5 years but i hear you and get your point. lets shoot for a .750 winning % for 1st and 2nd halves
  7. thx, posted in the season thread already as well looks fine to me as pre season polls dont mean squat anyhow good or bad. play hockey and see what happens and then then later on the only meaningful poll in the pairwise will be up and running!! go siouxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  8. bochenski placed on waivers http://tsn.ca/nhl/transactions/
  9. Chorney sent to springfield of AHL
  10. worth the price
  11. i actualy had a great esperience working for the coyotes and wayne in 2005-06. he is a great person as the coyotes organization was but i never thought any of their GM/coach/owner decisions were good when talking about player personal. starting with their draft every year pretty much down to free agents they missed the boat it seem 80% of the time which is reflected in their record with that brass. if they won it would sell here like every sport here as there are so many choices from college to pro sports here to root for but they havent wont since late 90's. they bult the stadium away from many of their season ticket holders out in glendale which was a huge mistake and they have paid for it but in saying that it woldnt be near as bad if they won. just didnt work with wayne and phoenix for many reasons. wayne hired his agent mike barnett to be the GM there and that was a failure and the last 2 years have been even worse. then to end it all after this ownership debacle the team probably will be moved next year to hamilton. just has really taken a ugly turn and their 1st pre season has maybe 500 fans there. the fans are giving up on them of what fans and diehards there are as they do have a very loyal base but this mess has pissed them off as well gretzky is gone all together
  12. it must suck that the sioux could pack magness by themselves if they really wanted to when in denver. curious george is a funny guy...wonder if he will do the saved by the bell reunion?? go sioux
  13. bayda with a goal tonight for penguins
  14. phil lamoureux assigned to portland of AHL
  15. i agree with that as well, lee took more for sure and it got a little nasty. again i have no problem with getting on players, being disapointed in players and coaches as it comes with the territory with being a elite level division 1 player in a elite program but.........it doesnt need to get personal and thats where the line should be drawn imo. if a player is sucking he needs to be called out just like when a player is tearing it up he deserves to be praised just as much! go sioux......the road to title #8 starts very soon!
  16. toews bobbleheads in stock toews b head

  19. i dont think anyone here or anywhere can even imagine what joe went through to play his senior season. i believe at one point it was looking like he wouldnt even play again last season or maybe in the future. was great to see him get healthy and get back out there. i never thoght joe would be a bruiser like greene and commodore as i think by a players sophmore season you can get a feel of what type of a player he will be or end up being. now the player that can be of that mold is macwilliam and watch out for blood and fienhage to be throwing some big time hits. greene had to leave after his junior season. he was dominant for sure but his style also wasnt going to play out in college without being in the box 3-4 times a game the way things are being called and we all know he was nhl ready which is the most important factor
  20. thanks and expected. hope he can make that transition from d to f in hershey in the next couple seasons. best of luck to him!
