  1. As a fan, not much you can do about the way your team plays. I am a little disappointed in your coaching staff though, especially considering where they came from.
  2. I like the conference homer myself. With us to win of course.
  3. Union helped me get over 0.6 so I put them higher. Kept the Big6 teams on the bottom. I personally wouldn't move OSU up.
  4. Air Force Western Michigan Michigan Tech Union Harvard Cornell Providence Mass-Lowell Notre Dame DU OSU Penn State BU UMD Minnesota
  5. I don't think the last two penalties on us were good calls. Also it should have been a penalty on UMD for holding Shaw's stick on the game winner.
  6. Chicago just scored 4 in the 3rd against Colorado to take a 5-3 lead. Toews was offside for one of them, don't know how it wasn't overturned.
  7. I hate that idea, but it seems to be the way the game is going.
  8. I think I'd rather be the 3 in any other bracket.
  9. USAFA BC Harvard Penn State BGSU North Dakota
  10. A "little" violent, we've seen some more intense things from our boys and some other teams.
  11. The end of the BU/BC game got a little violent. Maybe some guys get a game suspension.
  12. Good job boys winning to guarantee a spot in the national tourney, but while you're there might as well win the whole thing.
  13. Gornall, Wilkie, Shaw in. Hoff (injury), Yon, Casey Johnson out.
  14. Don't get me wrong, Brock is elite. He was on a pretty good line last year with a four year guy (whose pretty good) and second year guy (first round pick) who had made great strides from year one to year two. They helped cover some of the holes in his game and also opened up a lot of space for him to operate. I think his second year here may have been a harder transition then his first year because of that. Not to mention the D-corps we had last year. With a young team and no Drake and Nick to lean on he was easy for opposing teams to focus on. I don't think it would hurt his development to stay one more year, but if he leaves you can't blame him. Most first round picks don't stick around more than two years and that's all I expect when we get kids like him. In my opinion if you get a first round guy to stay longer then two years with all the pressure they're under from the team that drafted them that's pretty damn good.
  15. Tackling=penalty, elbow to face in retaliation=no penalty?
  16. I may have spoken too soon. MTL has come back to make it 3-2.
  17. Thank you Dean Blais for all you did for UND and college hockey. #LEGEND
  18. Chicago will take over first place tonight. To be fair the Hawks have Toews and Schmaltz while the Wild only have Parise.
  19. Wild lose 4-2 to WSH. CHI well on their way to beating MTL up 3-0 in the third.
  20. Some kids will be successful no matter what. For most guys that is not the case.
  21. That's kind of irritating.
  22. I'm sure on top of that their are other factors that people who aren't close to the kids don't know about. For the best players it probably doesn't matter much which path you take. Numbers don't always translate from level to level. As a fan I'm always just curious to see how prospective players perform against better more seasoned competition.
  23. Every player is different so it's hard to say which development path is best. Everything at this age is potential and where they're projected to be in 2-4 years. I'm sure for some kids going to the USHL, BCHL, or NTDP is the best path. While for others staying in high school would be the best for them. Some, like a Hain, could easily leave early it would seem. Nick Schmaltz was in the USHL early and it worked out pretty well. Others, like T. Poolman, need more time to develop and grow. I'm no expert by any means so I don't know what'd be best. You just hope these kids are surrounded by good people with the kids best interest being the number one priority.
