Interesting discussions. Does Pres Kennedy have the ability to keep our enrollment competitive with NDSU, I'm not sure? It's like he has this attitude of less government, smaller Universities, and greener pastures. UND took a major financial hit and I've only seen him shoot one arrow back, and that was in the GF Hearld mail bag. Now, with most important thing of the day, hockey game in 3 hours.

Good Morning Hawkey fans. Today is huge and so may be tomorrow? Our NCAA streak is on the line, getting to Sioux Falls would keep that alive. The Clowns are #1 in the nation, but are they going to play that way today? We need this game much more than they do, coach Berry will have the players ready! Hoping for an on site Hawks fan advantage, can't wait for the puck to drop.

If NDSU has about 700 more full time freshman, I'd consider that a concern? What will a few years of this do? We need bodies on campus. If Moser's theory (UND losing political support) has no affect on this, then what is causing this?

You cut both plus more. With cuts this severe, there's bound to have been good programs cut partially or completely and some that were not too desirable, but a lot of that opinion is in the eyes of the beholder. It had to be done, and those that had to leave UND were most likely disappointed. Somebody had to make these decisions and now we move forward. I just hope the U doesn't sell Ray Richards, it's so easy to do in times like this.

North Texas missed a lot of shots also, terrible game to watch. Heard early in the week that Craig Smith (presently at $275,000) might get a coaching offer? -

SD at home, lost 77 - 90, played poorly and missed a lot of shots. They had a little surge at the end, but looked like they didn't want to be there. Attendance 1,348 -

" Past precedent says the number one overall seed gets the most preferable, usually meaning closest regional. Sioux Falls is 223 miles from St. Cloud, while the other three regionals might as well be on the moon. The problem with that is that North Dakota is still floating around near the bubble of the NCAA Tournament. They need to get the final NFC playoff game in the bank, Bank Forward that is. That loss to Carolina late in the year still hurts. -

Writer (Adam Wodon) spilled his ink in this article -- that Sioux Falls gives us a home game. We need to get there!! https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2018/03/12_Bracket-ABCs-March-Madness.php The North Dakota Effect Ah, North Dakota, always making life miserable for everyone. Stop it. We kid because we love you. Win or lose, it's already the team everyone loves to hate. It's typical human nature when it comes to sports — a successful program, with a humongous fan base, is just prone to get irritated by. Take it as a compliment North Dakota fans. That said, it's also the team everyone wants to avoid in the first round of the NCAAs. One, because it has a large fan base and is a pretty good team. But, two, it's precisely because it has that large fan base which only compounds the problem. Because of that, North Dakota has gone out and sought hosting NCAA Regionals. And when it does, it will sell them out, even when they are a few hours away, like this year, in Sioux Falls, SOUTH Dakota. All of this is well and good, except that when North Dakota is a lower seed, it gets a de facto home game when it doesn't "deserve" it. And again — just we're loud and clear North Dakota fans — no one is blaming you, or blaming North Dakota. Read that last sentence again, just to be sure. OK? OK? Just pointing out the dilemma here. So what's the point of this pre-amble? If North Dakota makes the tournament, someone has to play them. And who that will be, becomes tricky. It can't be St. Cloud State, the No. 1 seed whose home is closest to Sioux Falls, because both teams are from the NCHC and that's not allowed. And neverminding that, the Committee won't put the top overall seed against North Dakota or anyone else than the lowest overall seed. So St. Cloud State is going to be shipped East somewhere in this case. If North Dakota doesn't make it, which is possible, St. Cloud State clearly plays the WCHA/Atlantic champ in Sioux Falls, and all problems solved. Not a Herald article, but how's that grab your needs? -

I'm sure many fans feel the same way. I have become to like to go into The Betty for a quick game and your back to your own time. Also, so easy and quick to get in and out. FB and MH not so much. Edit: Most opposing school fans don't also go to hockey games, a competition here between the sports to get the fans, so to say. -
